Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this as I rarely venture outside the Nothing Up My Sleeve sub-forum..
On May 23 2019 I'll be releasing video instructions for 5 non-gaffed coin effects/routines. The project is called Tyler Rabbit's Hiding Place, in part because the effects are totally free, but they will be hidden and protected by passwords- the clues to which will be scattered "around." Without giving too much away I've created an interesting alternate reality scavenger hunt of sorts. Here's a trailer: Full descriptions of the effects are here: https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......c=683948 Hopefully the experience of looking for, and discovering, the effects is as enjoyable as learning and possibly performing them. |

I will bump this thread as I'm surprised that it is not more active - Tyler really has done something amazing here. You take part in a fun treasure hunt (clues and help available) and in return you get 5 really solid coin routines that are well shot, well taught and well credited - with the added bonus that you can discover some wonderful information about kitchen/home appliances! (Really!)
Tyler (and friends) have clearly put time, effort & money into this project, he has shared his work at no cost. The routines are not YouTube camera only type stuff, but genuine, working routines.. If this was on a $30 download, it would probably be here on Latest & Greatest with all the usual hype and many more posts. Don't be fooled - 'free' does not mean lacking in worth, Tyler only asked that you respect the magic, the history and the secrets. Having watched Tyler's uploaded video performances for real people, he is sharing routines that are genuinely really strong with a big impact. The routines range from relatively basic to the harder side of intermediate (but don't need lots of expensive gaffs). Once again, thanks Tyler. Charlie |

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys!!
So far 85 people have gained access to the tutorial videos. Not bad! If you're interested in solving the puzzle to find the tutorials, start here: The puzzle/game was a lot of fun to make, but mainly I want to share the actual magic material. So, if anyone needs hints or just straight up 'spoilers' please feel free to hit me up. Thanks again!! |

"...I wouldn't even call it a trick or routine. It's a show in and of itself." Well done

Okay this is great. Just a little ways into the hunt, but I'm already really stoked. Tyler is a really funny guy.
I dabble in coins so I'm interested in the end game, but even if not, this would be super fun.

Needed a hint already, was starting to lose my sanity watching water... was barking up the wrong tree I guess, lol.
Tyler was kind enough to get back to me right away with a hint. Still confused, but hey, at least I'm confused in the right place.

But, I learned absolutely nothing (I may have actually became dumber) about washing machines in the process. And I learned where Temecula is, which, as a northern Californian, is an accomplishment, I think. But, again, the coin stuff is great. And the search was fun. |

Me, several hours ago: I'm totally going to get this, no hints.
5 minutes later: YEAH, getting somewhere! 30 minutes after that: Definitely need a hint. 10 minutes after getting hint: YES, total breakthrough! 1 minute after that: Uh, maybe? Several hours later: Hmm, how long would it take to brute force 120 possibilities? Is that cheating?

And I set up a spreadsheet in preparation to brute force... and then decided that, no, I could figure it out without the brute force... and got it on the first try. But, by "first try" I mean after I spent a good 20 minutes watching the videos again and again and again until I figured out "the right way." However, the whole time I was doing that I kept thinking I was wasting my time and I should just be brute forcing it... It's doable. Keep at it. |

GOT IT!
Was literally about to call it a night, and it clicked in my mind. Cheers! Was close to asking for a hint as well. Look forward to checking out the vids. That was fun.

YES!! Nice work.
No brute force is needed on the password. |

Watched the vids, and they are excellent!
I'm more on the beginner side of things as far as coins go, I know a few things reasonably well, but I don't have an extensive knowledge. Nothing so far feels out of my grasp, and more importantly I've already learned some really cool moves that I'll definitely be practicing. This is a great download, definitely worth the time to seek out. Big thanks to Tyler Rabbit! I'll definitely be watching his youtube stuff from now own too, I love his unique and original style.

Hey folks wanted to let you know that just over 130 magicians have found my Hiding Place.
If you haven't found it yet or didn't know about the project, I've made a video spelling things out a bit more: Hope you guys find the material useful! |
