Back in 2007, I unexpectedly set the Mentalism world on fire by introducing the L.P.I (Looch Pocket Index). This well designed pocket miracle maker instantly sold out and was considered by the pros as one of the best pocket indexes ever made.

Over the years one of the most frequent requests from fellow mentalists was for the L.P.I to be made available again. After years of research, discussion & development, Read My Mind Ltd are delighted to announce that this incredible product is finally back and better than ever!

Each L.P.I has been expertly manufactured in Stainless Steel and will last a lifetime of performance use. Load up your L.P.I with billets, folded business cards, or even currency and it will always be ready to assist you in producing mind blowing mental miracles for your audiences!

Each Stainless Steel L.P.I comes with its own custom printed velvet bag & access to an eBook with detailed instructions. You will also be granted access to the Facebook owners group to share ideas and routines with each other. (Facebook account required)

*Please note, the L.P.I is designed as a billet index, with the primary focus being to simply and efficiently organise a range of ‘outs’ and give you instant access to them during performance.

What the Pros are saying:

The best mentalism uses invisible props which are seen but go unnoticed, or, in the case of a good billet index, completely unseen. Looch has designed and carefully built an exceptional index and it can certainly be used to produce devastating effects.
Ken Weber (Author of Maximum Entertainment)

I have long searched for a perfect billet index, finally the search is over, thank you.
Lior Manor

The LPI is well conceived, carefully executed, delightfully compact, flawlessly functional, and soon-to-be scarce. I've never used a better billet index.
Doug Dyment (Author of Mindsights)

A well made tool, and more importantly readymade, with a plethora of possibilities.
Marc Salem

I recently used LPI at a convention; I like it because it is simple and can't go wrong, it worked perfectly.

The first plastic versions came out 12 years ago and since then many people are hearing about this new version for the first time. As a result I’ve been answering the same questions over and over, the most common questions seems to be:

1. Is this for playing cards?

Answer: No! its a billet index, designed for 'multiple out' routines with billets. You can index some quarter folded playing cards but if you were looking a playing card index, this isn't the product for you.

2. How many billets will it hold?

Answer: This 100% depends on you and your choice of billets. Some prefer small billets, or 5x3 index cards cut in half and quarter folded so I can not say for certainty. however as a guide, I index my business cards quarter folded. UK business cards are 85 x 55mm and it will hold 8 in each L.P.I. Its an easy number to work with, minimising any 'thought' time which eliminates the fumbling I have seen with other indexes.

Hope that helps! Smile

I've got one of these already - basically it's just a very well made billet index that will last forever - I can't imagine it's ever going to wear out. It's a great utility prop that that does one thing really well and unlocks a host of effects. I need to dig out my copy of Switchcraft.

I just received today my two L.P.I.s from the UK. That was super fast service. The inde is beuatifully made in indesttuctibale stainless steel. The index is extremely stealthy measuring 100 mm x 35 mm x 10 mm. Eac hindex has has one long slot on each side for your billets. A vinyl logo is affixed to one side so that you can immediately differentiate which side is which by touch. The index came in a nice velt draw string bag. This index, as mentioned by Looch, is not made to be used with playing cards. This index was designed to be used with folded business cards. You should be able to fit 4 folded business cards on each side for a total of 8 outs.

There is a link for a instructional pdf that provides detailed instructions and drawings on how to use the index. There are no routines provided but there are numerous suggestions provided. There is also a link to connect to a facebook group that will provide more thought out routines.

Looch's L.P.I. (Looch Pocket Index) is an excellent business card index that is superbly thought out and made. I highly recommend getting one. In fact, I highly recommend getting two, especially while the currently available discount price for two remains in effect.

I’m disappointed only because I ordered two because I thought with that I could index a card deck.
I still look forward to the effects, just misunderstood.

Thank you for your review Michael, I am glad you like the latest version of the L.P.I - I really do this its pretty much indestructible and makes it so much more easier to organise your pockets when performing.

It was my error in misreading that it can’t be used for playing cards but having received the two I’ve ordered I was really impressed with the packaging and the quality. I’ve got no regrets and would easily recommend this to anyone. I’m short on creativity ideas but I look forward to the FB group

I am looking at this. Any thoughts on existing routines this would be good for? I mean like the Amazebox being great for Ken's E1?

Please make sure you add yourself to the group and Joel my moderator will be able to grant you access. There’s some nice routines already in there with some pretty cool tips & ideas. This will grow as time goes by and I encourage all users to share their thoughts.

Thoughtfully minimalist in concept and built to a high quality with practicality in mind the LPI is a quietly impressive device. It just does what it was designed to do simply and reliably. No App, iphone or Bluetooth required!

The LPI can be used for any multiple out routine with billets. One of my favourites is to follow an equivoque routine when there’s one astute participant who thinks he might know something and says; “But what if he had said this/that?” - You can immediately go into something with them but give them total control for example:

Ok imagine I’m pouring out some sweets... M&Ms for example... how many do you see?

3

Ok and what colours are they?

2 Reds & a Blue

Fine, pick one up and imagine tasting it... what colour did you choose?

A Red one

And is it chocolate or peanut?

Peanut

Thank you! That sounds great, following up an equivoque routine with this. Very smart thinking. I'll let my thoughts spin on that a bit. I'll get back to you on this.

You're welcome. The L.P.I is a utility device for ANY type of multiple out routine, so literally if you can think it, you can index it!

Update: 90% of customers have taken up the offer of ‘doubling up’ on the website. This means we have nearly sold out of the first batch of LPI’s.... once these have sold it will be a while before a second batch will be ready due to my schedule over summer.
