Paul Gordon's effects are usually pretty good. However, one of the reviews says you end dirty. Does anyone know if it's true?

"Middle Earth is an elegant solution to the trapper effect by the creative mind of Paul Gordon." - VIC TRABUCCO

"Paul Gordon’s magic is direct, practical and powerful. Middle Earth is no exception. If you’re looking for a clean, easy and deceptive sandwich routine with a regular deck, look no further; Middle Earth is the one for you!" - BORIS WILD

"Paul Gordon’s Middle Earth is a very beautiful clean handling of the basic Sandwich effect!" - JIM MOLINARI

"Middle Earth by Paul Gordon is a real worker!" - WAYNE DOBSON

“Middle Earth (by Paul Gordon) is something I love because it’s keeping some moves 'in.' A great easy to do piece with basic handling to master with a regular deck of cards." - WAYNE FOX

"Paul Gordon's Middle Earth is very clean effect and, as usual with Paul, very practical!" - JEAN-JACQUES SANVERT

"This is a real world approach of a sandwich effect which can be done with an unprepared deck anytime, anywhere. I highly appreciate Paul's practical thinking and I am sure, long after you've lost the gimmicks, which more or less achieve the same effect, you will go back to Paul's approach. Paul Gordon's Middle Earth is a worker!" - ALEXANDER DECOVA

"Middle Earth is a practical and puzzling quick trick from the clever mind of Paul Gordon. The explanations are clear and thorough with valuable insight on the simple moves used." - RAFAEL BENATAR

With Middle Earth, Paul Gordon has applied his unique thinking and methods to the classic sandwich effect; creating a totally invisible method with no standard sandwich moves in sight!

A card is signed and lost in the deck, the two jokers are dropped face up on top, and with a snap of the fingers, the card instantly appears trapped between the two jokers!

Taught in Paul's highly regarded and detailed instructional style, from multiple angles; you'll be ready to go with this quick-fire trick that will fool magicians and laypeople alike!

Easy enough for the beginner and polished enough for the pro, Middle Earth is set to be your new go-to opener!

Dirty as in 1 card you can choose to palm off or not, not really needed.

Yup. I don’t think this merited a release for a simple one phase sandwich effect. Kinda blew my mind.

Agreed, it’s ok, not a huge favorite for me compared to the Many others out there.

Too many cuts in the video, no full performance shown, right there that takes it down a few notches. I will stick with Monkey in the Middle, easy to perform yet it never fails to get gasps and WTF! And it is pretty much sleight free, albeit there is one if you want to call it a sleight.

Paul does seem to be the King of Collectors. I also love his Easy Collectors Two from Quidnunc Plus and often perform it as a 2-phase Collectors routine with Easy Collectors Two as the first phase and Tenkai Sandwich as the "even more impossible" phase.

Is there a reason this would be preferable to Monkey in the Middle?
