Has anyone used the Tora Split Dice illusion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hxIoTrZvhM?
I like the effect, but I'm not sure about it, and the price seems to vary tremendously. The official site sells it for $236.00, MadHatter sells it for $299.00, while Daytona Magic and usually Penguin Magic sell it for $120.00. Anyone know what the deal is with this? |

It is called business, wholesale price verses international postage, plus customs chargers, verses decent profit, verses quantity purchased, verses competition.
Tora is an Iran or Iraq company, their money is almost worthless, so they sell at higher prices to the rest of world. That has to do with currency exchange rates as well. So after all those fees, for processing the only person paying for all of it is the final dealer who has to pass the charges onto the customer. The effect does look good, but I believe it needs a good patter presentation, not that loud pounding music. I wonder if the magnetic table top comes with the dice. |

Thanks. It seems a little weird that the dealers could sell for less than the official makers. But I see what you mean. I just can't help but wonder if the dealers are really selling a cheap rip off version or something.

Call Bill at MadHatter and ask him why his price is so much. He will be honest with you. Either his in NOT a knock-off, or someone on his staff mad a mistake in pricing.

Bill has also helped me in the past with price matching. Just ask if it is in stock before ordering from Madhatter.

And I can NEVER figure out why the pips placements are never correct on these types of effects. Laymen may not notice, but it's just simple Q.C.
