Hi
I recently watched Ettiene Pradier's lecture DVD and he uses a coin unique £2/2p, and instead of having to bang the insert out he takes it our using the magnetic properties of another 2p. My question is are there any sets that have this quality as sold or would I have to buy a normal unique and a separate magnetic coin? Also does the 2p have to be magnetic (the one used for unlocking) or would I need a steel core 2p? Thanks Dan |

Hi Dan.
It should work with any shield 2p. All shield coins (except 50p) will stick to a magnet, it's only the older non shield ones that don't. Jim |

Hi Jim
Thanks for that, I wasn't sure whether the magnetic part of the gimmick was the insert or shell. Dan |

There are three softbound books by Ken Simmons on the Scotch and Soda. They are out of print, but worth finding if you can. There is even a Dave Neighbors routine in one of the volumes!
