I always incorporate one childrens story into my kids shows (Hungry Caterpillar, The little pigs etc) and am thinking a story that might lend itself nicely is 'Elmer the Elephant'. First thought is to create a 'Magic Painting' effect for the kids to colour Elmer with many of the bits and gags from my colouring book routine.

Could combine it with a few other props like change bags to change Elmer from colour into grey before the children help bring his colours back with a 'Magic Painting' effect.

Have any of you worked an Elmer story into your magic shows? Any ideas that might be worth considering?

Thanks so much in advance

I like your idea, I haven't done magic with Elmer but I told it to kids and they love it. It would be great to add magic, including handkerchief or jumbo cards with Elmer, where it changes its place or change the color.
