Wonder if a “wallet style” phone case is required to conceal/work the gimmick?

Not sure if anyone else saw this in the description of the video.. but some details on the trick :

With Silhouette, you have ultimate control over the realm of shadows. You can take a shadow and pluck it into reality. You can freeze your shadow in time. You can form shadows from things that don't exist. You can steal your spectator's shadow. You can even create a misbehaving shadow that snatches objects from your very hands (sometimes it'll even tickle you). Your shadows can be lighthearted, downright mischievous, or simply unexplainable, you decide.

What you receive:

The ability to create and manipulate 12 unique shadows

Nearly an hour's worth of in-depth explanation from Tobias Dostal

12 routines and ideas included to get you started, but the possibilities are limitless once you see the gimmick!

Any smart phone can be used as a light source

Can be done with a borrowed phone

Phone is never rigged

Resets instantly

Packs small plays big

Stealthy and quiet

Perfect for magicians, mentalists, and even mediums

Shadows are compatible with all countries worldwide

Shadows can be yours or even borrowed

This is more than just an illusion, this is a new genre of magic. This is Silhouette.

I think the borrowed shadow holding their finger is amazing.

Some of the hand choking you bits and microphone with a hand holding it is a bit too much for me.

I believe it is exactly the same gimmick.

Yeah, brings to mind Andre Mayne's Ghost Vision (which I love and use on women in dark alleyways every opportunity I get).

I may buy this. I think Mr. Dostal plays it too fast, too choppy. I'm envisioning some really slow, letting the shadow blur into focus, spooky stuff with this.

I hope the concept is robust enough to get very creative with it.

I hope it's been improved, cos the ghost vision gimmicks were as basic as can be
.. No bad thing, but maybe this has something different to it...

Agreed. Improved version of ghost vision. It’ll be interesting to see how the gimmick(s) adapt to the many different phones out there in relation to flash positioning.

Probably same principle but this effect looks like a quantum leap from the ghost vision gimmicks. He is getting sharp shadows that he is able to maneuver with some precision and fast. Looks like comparing a hot air balloon to a fighter jet in results.

Who knows? Look forward to seeing some reputable reviews.

I'd hope it would be some kind of wearable, as they say it can be done with a borrowed phone... Maybe a ring like device that you can alter...

The manoeuvre precision part is accomplished by the movement of the phone, nothing else.

Soon will all be revealed guys.
Pegasus, you are far away from the method.
If you can make objects animate to a hand like the rose (hand comes with a rose, real hand takes the rose and the shadow hand is empty now, or the one with the card or the glasses) if you can do that by just moving your phone I would like to see it Smile
As I said you guys are in for a treat. This is literally the best thing I have seen and Tobias is a genius, I know it sounds like hype, but all I am asking is a few hours before you guys get all the info.

Best regards,
Titanas

While I typically use my phone without a case, I'll certainly add one for this...

Previously linked trailer seems to be gone, but here's another link to a full trailer that's been posted.

Interested to see what pricing looks like and how different phone sizes will be handled if indeed the case is part of it (which from the trailer would surely appear to be true).
