So, with the announcement of iTunes going away, how is that going to affect those who use iTunes to load their music app. Do we need to migrate our playlists to Apple Music and the apps will sync to Apple Music, just like they did to iTunes? If that is the way we should go, when does this have to be done?

Apparently it's going to be replaced with a new Music app that will work similar to iTunes.

One of the problems with iTunes is that it tried to do too much; syncing devices, storing purchases, creating playlists, podcasts, photos, etc. Now that it's being busted up, they have the ability to improve the different areas.
At least that's the hope. |

I love the two older ipod touches that I use - very simple and effective - will these older devices work
with the new platform? Martini |

I-Tunes for PC's is not going away nor is it changing.
I-Tunes for ios or MAC's is what is being changed to separate apps. I own a PC but use an I-Pad for all of my music. I-Tunes still works great and will continue to do so for PC's. Rodney
