I think because it’s pretty lame compared to the original which was ground breaking at the time .
Effects like Utopia prediction by magic wagon are far stronger albeit more expensive imho Gaz 🙂

I have the 2 previous releases (DA + Gipsy version).
Really like the concept and I was expecting more from this.
I think the teacher does his best but I did not enjoy the instructions. He didn’t feel confident in his teachings.
Also the new routine taught is not that great compared to the initial.
The only positive in my opinion is the wallet.
I’ll keep this and work on my own routine.
I see this release as an update to DA.

For some the overall effect may not be as good as one thought it would be. But I can confidently say that, for the price, the prop you receive is a very well designed & versatile wallet that can be put to many other uses besides Deep Clear. I would say the wallet in itself is a very sleek and useful prop for the thinking magician. Its good value for your money. I'm sure all those who have this effect will agree with me.

Have to say I’m a bit baffled at those
who don’t think this is a strong effect. Have you
Performed this for a real audience? The actual
Effect on a spectator is that they name any word.,
And that same word has been inside your clear wallet
the entire time! That is a genuine deep Astonishment.

Now if your not doing this because the lead in effect
Is not equally as strong. Note that the lead in is just that..a warm up meant to be a
Fun interlude that gets you to the big deep melt down.
This is all about their word being inside the clear wallet.

And the handling and sequence is all motivated
and smoothly flows from one action to the next.

All those reactions you see on the demo are real
People reacting for real. We wouldn’t put this out
If it wasn’t the real deal.

Of course everyone has heir own esthetics
Of what they like re methods and handling. And
If the basic bones of Deep Clear don’t match your
Taste then that’s fair. But please don’t say this
Isn’t a hugely powerful effect or that the handling
Doesn’t work. That just doesn’t make any sense.

Again..just go out and perform Deep Clear as taught for a real
audience.

My only other thought here re some
Is if there is concern about the wallet.
Steal. This is a variation of the same steal used
With great success In the hugely popular
previous versions. When performed as taught..
Your audiences attention is on the box during this..
No one is thinking about or focused on the wallet.
To most of the audience..they won’t even realize
You touched the wallet!

This is based on sound magic psychology that goes back to
Robert Houdin. It’s a similar feel to a Cross Cut Force. Which
Is obvious if you’re looking for it but completely invisible if you’re not.

Again..please try this out as taught..and take look
At the optional handlings and lines as you might find
Something there that’s a better fit for your performing style.

Believe it or not..Paul does know what he’s doing when it
Comes to structuring an effect. And again..I also know
That we can’t make everyone happy. We at PHP are all
Very proud of Deep Clear and just ask that you try it
As taught for a real audience.

This is a very strong effect in any of the 3 versions. People just overthink everything. I have never had anyone suspect how the trick is done.

Is there a more subtle way to mask collecting all the letters while looking for their "fingerprint"? It's so obvious they've placed their card in the center of our pack, but we're rumaging around everywhere "looking" for their card.

Instead of doing first phase of Deep Clear, I'm thinking of combining this with Ambitious Card. Start by creating a Magic Word beforehand which we'll use to locate their card after a short Ambitious Card routine. Then put all cards away and finish with magic word reveal.

That might work? Neat idea!

But re the card placement in the center
Of the half deck. If you turn your head away
As the card is replaced you now have no idea
where the card is.
