I'm an old Navy man "from the days of wooden ships and iron men", but, now I'm all rusty!
However, if your "all in a clove hitch", and can still tie a becket bend, and, know what a marlinspike is good for, welcome aboard! but, don't forget to salute the quarter deck! Oh! the smoking lamp is out!

Welcome to the forum! That would make a good magic act/persona actually, a "Magic Pirate" doing pirate themed magic in full pirate attire with treasure chests, gold coins, small ships, parrots, rope, hooks, etc. Not sure if I ever saw that or not or if it came from my long distance memory because I DID see it as a kid lol. I don't think so though.
The great trouble with magicians is the fact that they believe when they have bought a certain trick or piece of apparatus, and know the method or procedure, that they are full-fledged mystifiers. -- Harry Houdini
