I remember it well.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Yep. And just think how much better we could fake the Moon landing today than we did back in 1969.

We had a beautiful large full moon out here tonight and saw a wonderful eclipse.

Melies did have a time machine. His special effects cinematography was done on the cheap by Morlocks.

"Diamonds Are Forever" had a sequence where Bond runs through a set where they faking a lunar mission. As a kid, I always thought it was a run-through, someone told me later, the bad guy (Blofeld) is actually faking a lunar mission, for whatever reason!

Most people don't realize that the iconic first photo of a man on the moon is not of Neil Armstrong; It's Buzz Aldrin. Buzz "forgot" to take a photo of Neil. So the photo you are most familiar with is Buzz Aldrin, taken by Neil Armstrong. You can see Armstrong's reflection in Aldrin's helmet.

Appreciate it - thanks Jack! He's really gung-ho about Mars.

PS - I think Alan Bean would also give a great interview. Any chance of getting him?

Yes, sure,I was there in 1969 and saw the original broadcast of the moon landing as it happened. As I was watching it, what I was thinking all the time was I was wishing with all my heart that they would encounter an alien creature. Because I remember astronaut Gus Grissom saw a UFO on one of the flights. At that time I bought the book Spaceships of Ezekiel written by a Cape Canaveral scientist. It was about the scriptural passage from the Bible in the first chapter of Ezekiel where it describes a flying wheel. The scriptural passage describes it as a wheel within a wheel and flying in the sky so evidently a Flying Saucer, and also having passengers, occupants. It's right there in the Bible in the first chapter of Ezekiel. I wonder if that's the very first factual account of Earth being visited from outer space? The first recorded one? As I said, it's right there in the Bible, fully documented in the first chapter of Ezekiel.

Yep. From Ezekiel 1:

"And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle."

So it must be true. Along with the seven-headed dragon in Revelations.
