I'm about to start searching magic shops to see if Pavel's effects are still on the market anywhere. I'm looking for effects to add to my parlor show, and after viewing my Pavel DVD's this morning, I see a lot of great effects. Yes, many with ropes, not to mention silks and other props.
Now it looks like some of the effects are possible to construct at home, but others it will probably be easier just to purchase them pre-made. Before I start searching magic shops worldwide, any tips on if his effects are still around and which shops might be most likely to have them in stock?

Pavel Magic is still around, his family runs the website. They request you email them what you are interested in to get prices and shipping. His book and and DVDs are still available from websites in the U.S.
Just Google Pavel Magic and you will find what is available. |

You might want to check reviews of the quality of the props. I have heard from some who purchased and kept it but did not use them much due to quality problems. Be sure to look at his dvds. You can get lots of ideas from them. I am no expert on this. But it would be wrong for me not to pass on what I heard.

I haven't purchased anything since his passing so maybe the current items aren't up to the old standards, but the originals are just fine.

I.had previously found the website, but was wondering, since he passed away if there was anybody on the other end to ship things out once my order went through. So I was a bit leery.
I have viewed several of his DVD'S , though, and was impressed how colorful many of his creations are. Not to mention the genius behind them. But with all that splashy color, I can definitely find a spot for many of his creations.

If you click on the "How to Order" button, you will get information for contacting the people that handle the business. It is not just for ordering, you can ask questions as well. As for orders going though, that is why they want email communication with the purchaser. They will give you the international postage rates separately.
As for quality, that is very subjective opinions given. All his props are cardboard, plastic, rope, and scarves. I would not think were the quality issue would come into play, as the rope, cardboard, plastic cups and sheets, along with the scarves are not made by him. |
