Disclaimer: I was sent a beta release copy to test this out.

I’m really excited. It’s finally out to the world.

I was lucky enough to get one of the first Reborn’s earlier this year to test out in the real world.

It’s been 4 months and I can say it’s everything it says and more. In a word, it’s a pocket free belt holder for the ice along with a fantastic video instruction of new tricks, tips and techniques. Redesigned from the ground up, from those little green pockets that I never really got on with; It’s perfect.

I loved “To the Max” but due to pocket space, I stopped doing it. This year, I’m doing it again, and I’ve missed those crazy reactions when they see you produce a block of ice from your bare hands. With the holder you can do 1-4 blocks.
At my last show I had 2 blocks in the holder, my show was delayed by an hour on one of the hottest days of the years. I was already loaded up and decided not to unload the ice - hopefully to the table of guests knowing I’ve not set anything up for so long would make it even more impossible. The ice not only kept me cool, but even under my hot suit it barely lost any size in the nearly 2 hours until I performed. It’s truly incredible.

If you want to upgrade your ice magic, or want to get into producing ice ala mini Malini - this is it. Forget remaxed. This was made for the minglers, the cocktail reception workers, the table hoppers and the people like me who want to produce ice over and over to the same group. Loading and stealing is a breeze.

When I first put the holder on it felt great, but looking in the mirror I could see the big bulge under the jacket. I moved it closer towards my side, and suddenly it was invisible. Place it on your hip and you’ll not worry.

It’s built to last. The stitching and materials are fantastic. Just turn it outside in after the show to try and it’s good to go.

It’s that good it’s the only new thing I've put in my parlour and close up shows for over 5 years.

Difficulty 2/10.
Prop quality: 10/10
Reactions: 10/10

Thanks Rupert: Here is the official blurb

Saturn Magic Presents
REBORN
Created by Kieron Johnson and Mark Traversoni

——

You are about to enter a New Ice Age in Magic.

For centuries, our magi-tribe has been obsessed with creating new and impossible moments. In recent times, one half-man-half-wizard Kieron Johnson has led us on a journey through the elements in breaking down all barriers of what we perceive as possible.

This so impossible you have to see it to believe it.
Reborn can go in the oven at 100 degrees for 30 minutes and the ice will survive.
The hottest it has ever been on earth is 56.7 degree in 1913 in Death Valley - so you could even do this at any gigs you get there.

In the beginning there was To The Max and Element; turning scorching flames into frozen ice using nothing more than our bare hands. Reborn is the latest evolution in Ice Magic. We’ve taken the original Holder and adapted it to suit the growing demands of you ice-warriors. Imagine being able to carry FOUR times the amount of ice, for TWICE as long with NO ADDITIONAL pocket space required. The new devICE is a must-have upgrade for any worker looking to take their seamless ice production to the next level, and, the weapon of choice for any magician looking to perform something truly breathtaking that they’d never thought possible - fire into ice. This is as close to real magic as it gets.

The adaptions of Reborn

*Secret access to up to 4 blocks of ice on demand
*Enhanced insulation keeps ice for up to 4 hours
*Bespoke design means it's always hidden and comfortable to wear
*Dual-pocket design lets you keep hot things hot (like an egg) in the same holder
*Use as utility device for switching in and out other items

But… Reborn is way more than just the perfect ice producer

You’ll not only arm yourself with the most versatile hold-out known to man that has been years in the making, you’ll gain access to Kieron’s wonderfully-warped mind as he and co-creator Mark Traversoni take you on a much greater journey of:

-How to produce ice with and without fire
-Sleeving ice
- Non Sleeving techniques Included
-Flash paper tutorial
-Time Triumph Cube routine
-Chop cup routines
-Egg Production
-Lolly pop production
-Thumb fires
-Mental balloon bursting
& more

As modern day magic evolves, we magicians must battle to stand out from the crowd.

This is survival of the trickiest.

Welcome to the Dawn of a New Ice Age.

Arm yourself with Reborn.

TV Rights Not Included.

Just to clear up the TV rights on this effect before anyone mentions it. We are not looking to make money out of selling them. We now reserve the TV rights to all our releases because they are good working material and we don't want them exposing on Got Talent type shows. If you are going on general TV then please just ask.

I liked the look of this when I watched some of the live launch last night on Facebook. I am new to 'ice productions' and don't generally wear jackets when performing. My question is, can this be worn and used when on a belt but under a t-shirt hanging over my waist/belt???

Is a misdirection/loading routine covered that addresses this kind of setup? Also, I didn't understand whether the holder compartments are open always or do they shut somehow to preserve the ice from melting or from falling out, potentially?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Good questions.

Yes you can wear any loose fitting clothing that can hang over your belt area.

Kieron actually does this with no jacket or cover at all (especially when it's hot), once you have it you will see it goes unnoticed by the audience.

The holder is open at the top so access is really easy.

There is no need for it to be closed, the magic methods at play will keep your ice protected just fine.

Kieron explains various ways to produce the ice, in the trailer the audience is reacting that much that was more than enough misdirection, but it is just as easy on quiet crowd walk around etc.

Any more questions just ask.

Thank you for the thorough response. Might have to give this a go. Particular liked that there are a number of routines and bonus material provided which is always welcome!

Do you think you are likely to do a live demo of a routine at some point. That would be super useful. Your approach to showing the gimmick was absolutely the right thing to do but would be great to see a performance, perhaps by the creator himself - perhaps on another live??? Let me know if you have anything like that planned.

Thanks.

Will this be available in the States at some point?

I have been doing Kierons ice production since it came out and I will tell you, the reactions are off the charts! The major problem hopefully now has been fixed with this new release.

Spaceman Sam - The trailer does show you the full performance of the ice. The misdirection needed to steal the ice is minimal, the lighting of the lighter and handing it them is often more than enough. All you did not see in the trailer was the word ice forced on the girl at the start from a deck with random items on it.

If you search To The Max and Element you will see this is a true reputation maker - Reborn is iPhone XR compared to those 2 and basically the same production but now fully Reborn with major improvements.

Magicinsight - This is a Saturn Magic exclusive, shipping rates are very reasonable worldwide.

RNK - Reactions are indeed crazy. It is an easy thing for people to say in ad copy but it is 1,000,000% the truth about this. Carrying 4 blocks at once is a workers dream I only have to fill back up once or twice per night which is a big advantage. If your gig is local you can just go out with it in the holder if you don't want to do it more than 4 times. As you do this already you will know transporting the ice further afield is no problem either and very practical.

How can we use 4 blocks of ice with 2 compartments?

Ice in contact will stick together or i’m missing something...

Thanks and congratulations for the release!

I have had a version of this given to me at the start of the year. Ever since I owned the original holder I have been producing Ice sleeveless. This new holder has completely changed a lot for me. Dry pockets, more space and obviously more ICE! The blocks I use are quite big but that is my preference. I can get 3 of these in the holder without the fear of sticking together.
I tend to either use 2 blocks or one block and another item in the next compartment.
When playing around with this, we realised that it holds a chop cup and a load perfectly too.

I absolutely love this and will never not use it.

Great work guys! ;-)
I can only recommend this

Yes there are 2 pockets and 4 blocks can go in nicely.

Ice only sticks together when fresh out of the freezer so no problem using it the way we are.

I was a huge fan of element which was released by Kieron and ellusionist a few years ago which contained a small holder suitable for one piece of small ice. Unfortunately mine broke and then was lost at a gig spelling the end of this effect. To finally have an improved version which looks better in build and quality with more ideas and possibilities is fantastic. A simple, direct piece of magic which is sure to get you more bookings. My order was in on release day and I cant wait for it to arrive!

I believe it does not. But buying and making your own ice blocks is the easiest (and cheapest) thing in the world. I never leave for a gig without them.

Hi emyers99

There no moulds included but you can make the ice from anything.

I cover how to make different types of ice.

Kind regards

It would hold two of them you possibly may get a third but it will definitely hold two ice cube blocks.

Kind regards
