Hey there,
I just discovered your podcast before taking an Amtrak trip from New York to Florida and back. I skipped around and didn't listen in order, but you've got a great format and I'm really enjoying listening. Particularly, I found Mentalism as a Business particularly relevant at this point in my life and I also recommended it to two friends. Thanks for putting this together. And cool music! Best, -a |

I certainly wouldn't mind more content concerning growing the business side of the craft.
Aside, my favorite bit of take-away was "choose two powers," I really liked that. |

Enjoyed the Eric Samuels episode. Pretty cool that he started his mentalism performing career in his 50s. Never knew that. Also really like how he frames his Q&A. Have never heard it put that way, and it makes a lot of sense.

Note: I don’t know Matt, never met him, never talked to him.
I hope everyone who likes and enjoys the podcast supports it financially. I think you can tell from listening, the time that must be involved in putting it together is significant . In the words of Teddy KGB “Pay that man his money.” |

Rounders was a fun flick. Now I’m craving Oreos for some reason..

Well, I took a little longer of a break than I intended but it's really hard to get anything done with the kids home from school.
Anyway, latest episode is with Aaron Alexander. Very interesting guy, definitely very different perspective than anyone else I've spoken to for the pod. I highly recommend you listen! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/my......p=itunes https://soundcloud.com/mysteryartspodcast/17-aaron-alexander

Great episode. One things still eludes me... what does Alexander DO on stage? He makes very strong statements about how magical the experience is for the audience/participants, but my one question would be: what do people SEE that are watching it? Alexander, would you chime in and describe what the audience sees when they watch the Bridge, for example? Thanks in advance.

Yes I agree with the Unmasked Magician. Found the episode interesting yet I'm still not exactly sure what it is that Alexander does!

I got my book test, some great ideas in there, I'm excited to see what I develop from them!
Also, I would agree with the two previous comments, but I think it's because Aaron seems like a very naturally enigmatic character. Many of his answers had me asking more questions, but in a way that naturally fed my curiosity and prompted me to do some further research. Something tells may have been his intention, or I could be giving him a bunch of extra credit After looking into him and some of his produced effects (experiences? experiments?), I have a somewhat better understanding of him, though still quite a vague impression. He seems to be using a mixture of psychology, and mentalism to create a very intriguing type of "human magic", somewhere between mentalism, hypnosis and establishing a deep connection with another person. I suppose it's definitely a "mystery" art if it left people wondering, lol! I may get Pygmalion Effects to find out more...
