There was a topic, someone asked (in a forum for magicians) on how to switch some cards. For example: ten cards for another ten cards.
An important point was that the magician should not use a deck of cards to switch the cards, he should not hold a deck of cards in his hands. The switch should look like this: the cards (about 10 cards) are on the table and the magician has no deck of cards in his hands. He takes the cards from the table for a second in his hand and they are already switched. The man who asked for the switch, asked for ideas created a very good switch himself. I thought about it anyway. I was wondering how it would be possible to switch the cards for another without having the deck in my hand to switch the cards? Then came the idea. My idea is in the video (see below). For such a switch, of course, you need a bit of a misdirection, which I do not have in the video because the camera shows my hands all the time. In this video I show three versions, three examples. Version 1 in the video: - I show ten cards ( ace of clubs to 10 of clubs). These ten cards have "red" backs (which is clearly visible in the video). If you show the cards face up, you can see that they are in an order from "ace to ten". I take the cards for a second and they are already switched. They are in the order "ace of clubs to 10 of clubs", and if you turn the cards over, they now have "blue" backs. Version 2 in the video (from 01:03): Ten cards are shown. You can see that they are in the order "ace of clubs to 10 of clubs". The cards are shuffled, I show them after shuffling and you can see that the cards are mixed, no order. The cards are placed on the table. I take the cards for a second and they are already switched. They are now in the order "ace of clubs to ten of clubs". Version 3 in the video (it starts at 02:48) and comes with business cards (that's for mentalists, mental magicians). Yes, you can also make this switch with business cards. It would be logical to use another gimmick, does not card box, but a business card box. You can also do that yourself, do it yourself. Version 3: I show some business cards. All business cards show the "black" site up. Suddenly they are different, the first card with black side up, second card with white side up, third card with black side up, fourth card with white side up, fifth card with black side up, ... etc. Here is the video with "Darko`s Cards Switch". Looks very nice. Is there a gimmick?
You mention using another option for business cards, maybe a wallet would work?

Darko,
Is this for sale? Now? If not now, when do you think it will be available? Can you give me a price, too? Looks great, by the way! Doug Canning |

This was really good to see and I look forward to learning more.
Also, literally on another note, I liked the pleasant background music. So much better than some awful distracting din that accompany some demos. A very professional display. Thank you. Neil |

I don't get it...isn't using a case pretty much the same as the deck? and hasn't this been done with things like David Stone's Tool amongst others? What makes this different from those?

I wasn't familiar with David Stone's Tool, but after watching the Tool demo, it does look like what I was imagining was happening here in Darko's effect, now that you point it out.

The Tool and Darko's Switch are different things.

The switch looks good, with proper misdirection and motivation it will be undetectable.
It is clever idea to substitute the deck with the card case, the card case is solid closed object not like the playing cards.
