The Ike's that I obtained were from the casinos. I'm not sure if any use them anymore as I think most have been replaced by chips.

Very nice routine MB...very smooth, unrushed and casual, all elements that make great coin magic.

Many years ago, somebody on the Café recommended Kennedy halves from 1966-1968 because of their shininess and the milling. I sought these out and he was absolutely correct on both fronts. The four I carry around with me have never lost their shine, and they very nearly grip your hand back when you cl****c p**m them.

For my hands, the copper English pennies also work really well; your mileage may vary, and this might have something to do with my mutant body chemistry, but I find them easier to work with than American halves.

I won an auction for four mid-to-late 60's Kennedy halves this evening. They weren't too expensive and look pretty good in the pictures.

I bought a lot of twenty "good clean" English pennies too (for £4 inc postage!).

Need to decide which larger coins to get now, and whether to go down the hobo/replica route.

And I'll probably need [ before long...
