Any advice out there on cheap...
ie inexpensive Bicycle playing cards. Was living in Scotland, where a multi-national outlet.. Costco... had them but no more. At 3 or 4 pounds sterling per pack from magic outlet’s it’s a joke... |

Hi Vernon!
Great question! In California, we have, "dollar stores" that typically have "Bicycles" on sale for $1.00 a pack. Very cheap! If you have access to any, you might want to check it out! Good Luck!

I agree with Steve....dollar stores are a good place to look. At Dollar General I have sometimes found two packs for a buck. I have also found other things there I can incorporate into my show. Such as some fake-but-realistic lemons for my cups and ball routine!!

If you would like me to ship some to you let's arrange some sort of deal... I can get them from my local Wal-Mart.. 2 packs (1 red 1 blue) and 5 dice for USD 2.97.. sometimes you find coupons inside the pack for .50 cents off that.. message me and we can talk!

Like a lot of magicians, I've been getting Bicycle Brand playing cards from Costco. Unfortunately, the stores in our area have just stopped carrying them. I frequent the "dollar stores" a lot. (There are three or four different chains in California.) I've never seen Bicycle brand cards for sale from these outlets. The decks which are a dollar, or sometimes 2 for a dollar, and imported from Malaysia and are not particularly good quality. I did buy a whole bunch of them to make up one-way forcing decks for a stage routine where the cards are not particularly important.
If anyone has a source for inexpensive Bicycle Cards in quantity, please let me know. Either here, or PM me. Thanks.

Incidently, I've been having a lot of fun with the clerks in the "Dollar Tree" stores. They have a big sign up reading: "Everything's a dollar." So, I give them a dollar and tell them I want everything! The sign should read: EACH thing is a dollar, of course.

I checked with Costco. They Bike will likely back in the fall, when people spend more time indoors.

People import cards from Malaysia? Boy am I proud.
You can't compare their quality with Bikes, although some can be quite good looking at the prices. They are particularly good for tearing.

The good thing about Bikes from Costco or Sam's club isthat you basic are buying 12 packs for about a dollar each in those big packs. Good deal!

Well thats just great, America has dollar stores that sell bikes... in Britain, the only way to get hold of the cards is to go through a magic dealer and pay £3 which is quite frankly a rip off. I tell you, when I get enough money I'm going to set up a shop that sells bikes in the U.K. for the same price as in America, then we'll see...

Besides stores like Sam's Club and The Dollar Store, I have ocassionally found unopend "Bikes" on Ebay for a low price even with taking shipping costs into account. Some of these sellers do offer to ship overseas.
