Hey Kids, please share the link below on all your social whatevers and support this project.

This is an oracle deck where each card face is hand drawn. The cards will be printed by Legends Playing Card co. who make some of the world’s best cards (they work with expert playing card co so the quality is the same or better than the recent Jerry’s Nuggets that did amazingly on Kickstarter). The decks will be numbered and signed in a limited edition of probably 2000 decks. They are readers but that's not common knowledge (similarly to the Gnostic Playing Cards but easier to read.) They include the classic Lenormand symbols plus 16 extra symbols and three significator cards (like jokers) that will total as 55 cards in the deck. They will be poker sized with all the standard playing card pips. There will also be a small book with the basics on reading with the deck.

In the future there will also be a book released with effects and ideas specific to this deck, but for that to happen it needs to get funded.

The goal is high as the plan is to print them on very high quality paper with reflective foil elements on every card which gets pricey. All your help in getting this funded is greatly greatly appreciated.

Much love to all of you, and thanks!

It's a pretty deck, and I went ahead and backed it.

The only thing that I would have loved to seen added, was for four short interpretations of each card (one per side), similar to the Nile deck.

Thanks Philemon! Much appreciated. Please share around so we can assure it gets funded.

I get your thought on putting the interpretations on the cards. Personally I don’t like words on the cards I read with as the reading changes depending on the cards it’s paired with. For example, on the Thoth tarot deck the three of swords says “sorrow” on it. In some contexts it’s not exactly the right word and yet the participant is affected by the word because it’s there. It can take me out of the intuitive side of reading.

The way people react to and take in an image is very different from how they take in written text. Images go directly to the unconscious. Written text takes them out and into their literary mind. It’s a different mental perspective. It’s personal preference In the end and I like decks that speak with visual imagery, which is why I also like Lenormand type decks. This is also probably partially because I’m dyslexic. In the beginning I wasn’t going to even have the pips but I realised that the versatility of being able to do other things with them is a great plus.

I totally understand your creative decision.

My reason is completely selfish, as I'm always looking out for good decks that I can use for both Docc's "Perfect Mental Club Act" and for my own "Psychological Three-Card Spread."

Because the four interpretations found on each card of the Nile deck, I don't feel compelled to interpret them in just one way. Often the messages are contradictory (as they are meant to represent the position of the card (e.g., reversals and sideways). I just like having an additional mnemonic in play for interpretation. But I also respect the intuitive approach.

Perhaps a stretch goal would be to offer an additional deck that has the interpretations? I think you will find some folks who would be interested in that version. You've already got the indices in place, so traditional cartomancy interpretations wouldn't be that out of place.

Anyways, it looks like a lovely deck and I hope it gets funded. :-D

"I realised that the call of an artists is in line with the call for shamanistic work. In my studies with a Shaman in Europe I was taught to always create the tools I use."

Yeah, I'm going to take that advice too. ;-)

That’s a great idea, the stretch goal. I’m going to do that.

Just an update. There is now a full brick option which is going to be the best value. Comes to about $13 USD per deck if you pledge for a brick.
