“In Praise of Pip,” as a bookie whose grown son is dying in Vietnam who gets to re-visit that son when he (the son) was a 10-year-old.

The 10-year-old Pip was played by pre-Lost In Space/pre-Will Robinson Billy Mumy, who appeared 3x on Twilight Zone himself — making young Mumy a close runner-up to both Klugman and Meredith!

Klugman was also played a drunk trumpet jazz player who receives a second chance.

That was the episode Cliff referred to in calling him an “invisible man.”

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

Say Hey!

Willie moved with the Giants from NY to SF in 1957--and a brick was thrown through the window of his new house in a mostly white neighborhood.

660 lifetime homeruns. Lifetime slugging average .557

Mays's number with the Giants was #24. He played in 24 All Star games and MAY 24 was declared Willie MAYs Day. It was also the date of The Catch and the anniversary of Mays's' call-up to the majors.

And still alive at age 89.

Your turn Francois.
