That was a shot in the dark. Thought of Shallow Hal and the other one he was in about his brother going to college.
I still recall the day I met Beaker from the Muppets. He said to me "Meep, meep, mee mee mee Meep!", and that has made all the difference.

I have a good one, but I'll be travelling a lot this week and doubt I can keep up with the clues.
Anyone want to jump in? I'll jump back in once I return if there is a lull.

You've got it, Slowkneenuh! I only had one more (giveaway) clue left:

6. My biological parents had one requirement, that I be adopted by two college-educated people. They weren't, but promised that I would receive a university education.

While unofficially attending classes, I struggled to get by. I slept on my friends' dorm room floors, returned Coke bottles for money, and survived off free meals from the local Hare Krishna temple. 11. At one of my earlier but significant places of employment I was moved to the night shift due to complaints about my hygiene. I rarely showered and would walk around barefoot in the offices. 12. I had an illegitimate child when I was 23. 13. I applied to fly on the Space Shuttle as a civilian astronaut but was rejected. 14. I considered starting a company in the Soviet Union. 15. A class I audited was a calligraphy course, which was instrumental in the future success of my endeavors.
