I apologize again, I'm not used to be in a position of responsibility on this thread;
I was married four times, each ending badly, until I found "the one" in 1986. We stayed together for 32 years. I have described myself as a "Jewish atheist." I have BEEN described as "the only living organism whose natural habitat is hot water."

I like that... but no.
My pseudonym was used as a character in one of my television scripts (played by Sammy Davis Jr.!) and was turned into a "pulp hero" by Phillip Jose Farmer who made him the nephew of Kent "The Shadow" Allard. I once sent a publisher a dead gopher (by fourth class mail) and a recipe for dead gopher pie. I see myself as a combination of Zorro and Jiminy Cricket.

I love Buddy, but I'm not aware that he's ever written a television script.
I wrote two episodes of "The Man From U.N.C.L.E., one of which ticked off my friends in science fiction circles, as I based all the villains on them. I wrote a script for Isaac Asimov's "I, Robot," that was never produced. I had a science fiction television series that was produced in Canada. It was terrible.

Cliffg37 got it. Thank goodness, because I'd run out of clues!
I liked the IDEA behind "The Starlost," not how it was realized. Read the book by Ben Bova, then see if you can find the parody book; "The Starcrossed," where the series in question is a "sci-fi" version of "Romeo and Juliet."

I was 12 years old when The Starlost came out. So there was probably some of it that went over my head. I will admit I did not care for the abrupt and cruel ending of the series.
I will look for the book, it sounds interesting. And away we go.... 1) I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1940. Yes I am still alive. 2) We moved a couple of times and eventually I was raised in suburban New Jersey. 3) I excelled in school and attended top colleges like, Wesleyan for my bachelor of science, Columbia for my medical degree and Harvard for post graduate work.

4) I never married. This lead people to ask if... I never addressed this issue.

5. With my medical degree in place, I went to France to run a lab for the Jacques Cousteau Society.
6. Shortly after I specifically used my medical skills in an underwater lab run by the U.S. Navy.

Not John Lilly. Nice try Landmark.
7. In 1969 I was drafted. I served on a U.S. Navy submarine until 1971. 8. In 1971 I left the Navy with the rank of Lt. Commander.

9. While onboard the submarine I wrote a fiction novel based on my experiences as a medical intern.
10. The novel stunk, and was a complete failure.

11. I was so upset with my writing failure, that I soon began to read other fiction, literally taking notes on how writers held their readers attention.

12. After leaving the Navy, I got my self working as a doctor, and began work on my next novel, using all I have gathered from my note taking.

13. What most of the world thought of as my "First Novel" was a runaway smash best seller that made me lots of money, and became a big hit movie.
