Right you are Lobo, it is Jim Morrison.
7. At UCLA and later at Venice Beach Ca, I met the man who would be my band partner and put music to my poetry. 8. We were considered to be a very drug-oriented band. 9. We took our name from a well-known "philosophy" book. 10. I was "married" to two women at the same time, yet not a bigamist as neither marriage was legal. 11. I was arrested in my home state of Florida for indecent exposure. People who knew me claimed I did not do it. 12. I moved to Paris France to be with my common-law wife and to escape prosecution. 13. I died in Paris in unclear circumstances. Some say it was an accident, others think I was murdered. 14. I am buried in Paris in a cemetery with many famous people. 15. Years later, with the suicide of Kurt Cobain, I was posthumously made a founding member of a very morbid club. 16. Even though I was long dead at that point, in January of 1982 I nicely posed for a picture with a 19 year old Cliff who came to visit me.

1. I was best known for my comedy.
2. I was on television frequently in the 1960s and 1970s, including hosting my own show for a few years. 3. I was known professionally by a nickname I picked up in the military.

He was the only 60s/70s tv comedian that I could think of with a professional nickname. Though on second thought, Redd Foxx might have fit.
I'll pass to whoever wants it.

Interestingly(?), Flip got his big break when Redd was asked on national TV who he thought his favorite up & coming comedian was, and mentioned Flip without hesitation.

I was on born July 18, 1950.
My father was a lawyer, and my mother a former ballet dancer and air hostess. I only attended school until the age of sixteen. Unfortunately I had dyslexia, which resulted in poor academic performance. |

On my last day at school, the principal told me I would either end up in prison or become a millionaire.

I interviewed several prominent personalities of the late 1960s for the magazine, including Mick Jagger and R. D. Laing.
Eventually I started a record store. In 1971, I was questioned in connection with the selling of records that had been declared export stock. But the matter was never prosecuted because I agreed to repay any unpaid tax and a $97,000 fine. My parents re-mortgaged the family home to help pay the settlement. |

In 1972, using money earned from my record store, I launched a record label, for which I signed controversial bands which other companies were reluctant to sign.

I also bought a large private country house where I installed a residential recording studio. I made money by leasing studio time to fledgling artists.
