Sorry, I was out of town for my last answer, I'll do my best to keep up this time.
1. I was born in Mt. Kisco NY February 28 1931. 2. My mother was a middle school dropout that worked for Reader's Digest, my father an electrician. 3.I served in US Air Force.

Sorry, not "Buzz" or Chuck.
I moved to NYC to work at radio City Music Hall while looking for acting work. About this same time I changed my name, drawing the first name from a physically disabled victim in a TV drama. And my last name came from my Ithaca College drama coach. I made TV debut in 1957 on the Walter Winchell File at age 26.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I have a busy schedule at the moment, I'm trying to keep up.
Not Soupy. I was cast in the 1958 pilot episode of Peter Gunn. My breakout role was in Operation Petticoat starring Tony Curtis. In 1961 I had a guest role on the Dick Van Dyke Show, it was my first time working with Mary Tyler Moore.

I played the role of a drug pusher called 'Big Chicken in 2 episodes of Hawaii 5.0 My breakout role was a character named Murray Slaughter.

7. In 1978 I debuted on Broadway as the lead in a VERY well-known musical.

8. I got the lead role in a "light" opera. It was so successful that I also starred in the video that was made of it.
9. years later I returned to that "Light" opera, now playing the older antagognist.
