Thanks! Let me think about it and I'll try to come up with one.

Well, Mindpro has not returned, so I’ll get the ball rolling again:

I was born in London on March 1, 1910. My father, who was of Scottish descent, was killed in the First World War.

After my mother remarried, my stepfather had me sent away to boarding school, where I endured bullying, isolation, and abuse.

In 1928, I attended the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, graduating in 1930 with a commission as a second lieutenant in the British Army.

Although I served for two years in Malta, I grew tired of the peacetime army, and after resigning my commission in 1933, I headed for America.

After unsuccessful jobs in whisky sales and horse rodeo promotion in Atlantic City, followed by cleaning and polishing the rifles of visiting American hunters in Mexico, I arrived in Hollywood in 1934.

I worked in the movies as an extra, until my role in a film starring Charles Laughton brought me to the attention of producer Samuel Goldwyn, who signed me to a contract and established my career.

The day after Britain declared war on Germany in 1939, I returned home and rejoined the British Army. I was the only British star in Hollywood to do so.

I appeared in several wartime films, and played a significant role in the creation of military radio efforts conceived to provide entertainment to Allied forces in England and Europe.

Not Ronald.

I met Prime Minister Winston Churchill at a dinner party in February 1940. Churchill singled me out from the crowd and stated, "Young man, you did a fine thing to give up your film career to fight for your country. Mark you, had you not done so – it would have been despicable."

I took part in the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944. I also served in a secret reconnaissance and signals unit which located and reported enemy positions, and kept rear commanders informed on changing battle lines.

Not Richard, Landmark.

During the war I also worked extensively with Major Glenn Miller, whose Army Air Force Big Band was performing and broadcasting for troops in England.

Not Danny.

Ending the war as a lieutenant-colonel, I returned to Hollywood, receiving the Legion of Merit, an American military decoration.

I resumed my acting career while still in England, playing the lead in a critically acclaimed movie by Powell and Pressburger.

After returning to Hollywood, I encountered tragedy when my first wife died after falling down a flight of stairs at a party. Although continuing to star in movies, I struggled to recapture my former position.

Deciding to try Broadway, I appeared in a play opposite Gloria Swanson, where I was seen by Otto Preminger, who cast me in a movie role for which I won a Golden Globe Award.

Throughout the 1950s I played in dramas, comedies, swashbucklers, romances, and adventure films.

My professional fortunes were completely restored when I was cast in a movie which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1956.

Sorry Bill, not Erroll.

I am the only person to win an Academy Award at the ceremony I was hosting. Appearing on-screen for only 23 minutes in the film, this is the briefest performance ever to win a Best Actor Oscar.
