The “untold” story of Madonna is actually much grittier than the officially released version …

There’s a scene in the movie Desperately Seeking Susan where she dries her armpits with a blow drier mounted on the wall in a public bathroom. That image - and the slutty character she portrays - is much closer to the truth.

We were in Ann Arbor around the same time. We probably had mutual acquaintances especially in the art school and the theatre department.

9. Early in my career I played with stage-names. I thought my real name was too ethnic. The name I settled on was a sort of similar sound a like to my real name, but totally disguised any ethnic reference.

Lee J. Cobb it is indeed. Good call Landmark.

11. When that movie was remade 40 some odd years later, my role was appropriately taken by George C. Scott, who like me tended to play acerbic and angry authority figures.
12. I was famously an antagonist to Marlon Brando in one of his most quoted roles.
13. in 1955 I collapsed while working having had a heart attack. My role for that film was recast, but that did not end my career.
14. in 1976 I had another heart attack, and that was what killed me.
15. By the time I was done I had made over 100 movie and TV appearances.

And of course he was the original Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. What's amazing was that he was only 38 at the time. He repeated the role 17 years later in a much lauded tv version which was at one time available for free on YouTube. It may still be there.
