10a. An interesting but silly fact. If I had accepted the role of Dr. McCoy, all three of the top stars on Star Trek would have been Jewish.

But you must admit Arthur, he was amazingly prolific.

Well, this one is done. The last clue I have is absolutely true but reveals nothing of value to anyone.

16. In May of 2019, My widow sat at a dinner table with among other people Cliffg37. She told wonderful stories about my career.

This long time, long career actor was Malachi Throne. I really thought the Robert Wagner clue would give it away.

Next time I get to pick the mystery guest I promise you'll have all heard of them.

Who is next?

A Brooklyn Jewish stage and film actor older than 50 is someone I should know the name of. Not him. I think he rates as obscure, Cliff.

But here's a video that may jog some memories:

OK, since I have one ready to go:

1. I am one of the most celebrated and controversial leaders in human history.

2. As a young man I rapidly rose through the ranks of the military.

3. In fact, I became a high ranking officer while still in my 20’s.

How did you do that, Animated?

4. I built a large empire that ruled over much of continental Europe.

5. My influence on the modern world brought liberal reforms to the numerous territories that I conquered and controlled.

6. My civil code influenced the legal systems of more than 70 nations around the world.

7. My wars and campaigns are studied at military schools worldwide.

8. After dominating European and global affairs for more than a decade, I was finally defeated at the Battle of Leipzig.

9. I was exiled to an island, but escaped and took control of my country once again.

10. Eventually I was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo. The British exiled me to the remote island of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic, where I died six years later at the age of 51.

Your turn …

Years ago I had a hard time digesting The Count of Monte Cristo; in regards as to why it was such a big deal concerning the letter Dante had carried. So I read 2 books on Napoleon and on on Waterloo to bring everything into perspective.

Napoleon was well known for grasping the earlobe of his troops as a sign of affection and would give medals from his uniform to those who did heroic deeds; thus where it all started.

I'll think of one in a bit...

1.) I was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and practiced vegetarianism as a dietary principle taught by my church.

2.) As a young businessman, I started out selling brooms, before moving to help my brother run a sanitarium.

3.) I founded an Arabian Ranch (named after me) and made it into a renowned establishment for the breeding of Arabian horses.

4.) My brother and I pioneered the process of making our famous product. Because of the commercial potential of the discovery, I wanted it kept a secret. However, my brother allowed anyone in the sanitarium to observe the secret process and one sanitarium guest copied the process to start his own company. This upset me to the extent that I left the sanitarium to create my own company.

5.) My company was one of the first to put nutrition labels on foods.

6.) During the Great Depression, I directed my plant to work four shifts, each lasting six hours. This gave more people in my area the opportunity to work during that time.

I know you're referring to Tony the Tiger in the product ads, but I don't know who the personality is.

Kellogg, but I have no idea what his first name might be. There was a movie about him, Road to Wellsville I think it was called.

Interesting side note (for me, anyway): Years ago when I was composing music in NYC, I did a lot of the Kelloggs TV ads. Writing for TV commercials was a real art back then. You didn’t just slap any old piece of music on the film like they do nowadays. You had to understand film scoring. Hence, when the little boy eating breakfast raised his spoon, the music accomodated that movement. And when Tony the Tiger said “They’re grrrreat!” and there was a glint in his eye, a musical instrument would compliment that visual. And so on.

“Them were the days ….”
