No worries, Slowkneenuh! Ok, here's the next challenge...

1) I was born in Chicago in 1875 and grew up to become a massively successful author of fiction.

2) It's been said that I created one of the best-known literary characters in the world.

3) When I died, I was known to have been the writer who had made the most from films, earning over $2 million in royalties from 27 films related to my famous character.

5) I was in Honolulu at the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Despite my age, I applied for and received permission to become a war correspondent, becoming one of the oldest U.S. war correspondents during World War II.

10) In the 1920s, I became a pilot, purchased a Security Airster S-1, and encouraged my family to learn to fly.

11) My daughter married one of the actors who portrayed my most well known character on film! They remained married for 40+ years until my daughter's death.

12) My fiction is primarily in the adventure, science fiction and fantasy genres.

13) Besides the initial novel which featured my most famous character, the character also appeared in 25 sequels, several authorized books by other authors, and innumerable works in other media.

14) In about 1915, I purchased a large ranch north of Los Angeles, California, which I named after my most famous character.

You got it, Cliff! I’m glad because I was running out of clues that wouldn’t be dead giveaways!

His most well known character is of course Tarzan.

Edgar named his ranch Tarzana, and the name was ultimately adopted by the community that sprung up around the ranch.

The area is still called Tarzana and happens to be where I live.

I am not too far south of you Alan, down in Long Beach.

1. I was born in 1931 in the great state of Texas
2. My dad was an accountant, my mom was an actress.
3. When I was very young, my mother's career took off, and you would probably recognize her name.
