Hoss is right!

I didn't realize it before, but the hospital where Dan Blocker pass away (from a pulmonary embolism after gall bladder surgery) is the one at which I was born. He died there after I was born, but even if it had happened before I was born, I doubt that I would have switched to a different hospital.

5. In High School I took a drama class. My drama teacher gave me a made-up middle name. I used it for my last name.

In 1952 I began acting, both in movies and on Stage.

7. in 1966 I was married. The marriage lasted five years and we had one daughter; I never married again.

8. in 1958 I won a golden globe award as the "New Star of the Year!"

9. In 1957 I released a music album of myself singing mostly standards. The album went nowhere and I am not known for singing.

10. after 8 movies, several stage productions, and 12 guest roles on TV, I was given a TV role in an ensemble cast show that many people felt was a big risk for everyone. The show ran for three seasons.

11. The TV show was in 1964 which meant there were no laws about residual payments for reruns in Hollywood yet. The show reran successfully with most of the cast not being paid for it.

12. When the show ended after three years, no one could have predicted the incredible status it obtained. It is still being rerun worldwide today.

13. There was a lot of tension on the set of that show between me and the other cast members. One basically called me a liar.

14. I soon claimed that being on that show ruined my career, but this is questionable given how many movies and TV shows I appeared on after we wrapped.

15. That show generated such success in reruns, that reunion shows were created. One of them even concluded the original plot and theme of the show. I refused to be part of them.

16. One of my original castmates recently passed away. I am now the last survivor of the show.
