1. I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927.
2. My father was a bricklayer. Money was tight.
3. I worked hard to lose my "Brooklynese" accent and by age 15 I succeeded.

Tony Curtis? I heard something some time ago about him and an accent.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

No, Not Alan either. Interesting guesses though.

9. Throughout the 50s and 60s I appeared on stage and made guest appearances on TV shows. But in 1967 I was given my breakthrough role. I was cast as a comedy TV superhero. at 5'7" tall and slight build, that seemed ridiculous. Many people agreed and the show ran only 15 episodes

Don't know the actor's name, but it sounds like the guy who played "Captain Nice."
