When I was a teen I went to an open call they were holding in NYC for the Clown College. It turned out to be more of a publicity stunt than a real recruitment. (I met a guy there with an act with a pet duck who supposedly did amazing tricks; unfortunately, the owner lamented, by the time he had trained the duck, the duck would up and die, and the guy would have to start all over with a new duck.)

Anyway, I've since been surprised about the number of interesting people who actually ended up attending that school. So it stuck in my mind when I saw an interview with Penn where he mentioned having attended it. And then the atheist thing nailed it for me.

1. I was not born in Massachusetts or any of the thirteen colonies.
2. I was a believer and then I became an atheist.
3. Had things gone a bit differently, I might have been a lawyer.
