I really like both of them and can see doing both of them enough to justify the cost. However, I can really only get one for the foreseeable future due to budget. I'm hoping someone can recommend one over the other. If you have both, which one would you choose if you had to give one up and only keep the other? I'd appreciate it.

If I were to pick between the two (and I do know how both work), I would go with Get Sharky. There are less performing "restrictions" (I'm guessing that is the word I'm looking for). Also, Josh's deck for his performance on "Fool Us" was "more specially made" than the ones for sale. It was the same, just tweaked a bit more for a sure fire performance.

Thank you. I figured that deck on Fool Us must have been more specially “crafted” than what we would get. I plan to order Get Sharky tomorrow along with the online DVD we talked about in another post. Appreciate your help.

Thank you both for the input. Are heat and humidity a concern for handling either one of these, especially Get Sharky since I’m leaning towards that one. I live in South Carolina. I don’t usually have to worry about sweaty hands though.

Check out Max Maven’s original handling and method for Get sharky, if you like this effect.

As qkeli points out, there is an effect that Max Maven has been doing for decades and it is worth checking: "Pocket Nightmare", recently published in Kayfabe, the DVD set. There is one related effect in the DVDs.

I would go with Get Sharky. Both tricks are great. Get Sharky suits for street, close up and even parlor show if you want to extend the limit. Out of sight needs a decent group of patients in my view, which may not be very handy. Get Sharky is far more easy to learn

Get Sharky has my vote. It's one deck I always carry on me and it never fails to amaze when someone wants to see a card trick.

Another vote for Get Sharky. I just received it and I love how simple it is but how big it plays.

Get Sharky between the two. Simple but extremely effective. Also, you can expand it into far more arenas of performance.
