Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

I just picked this up out of curiosity. I think a friend had mentioned it once but I really didn’t know anything except for the description on Penguin. I have never seen the first version either.
Q&A is my favourite thing. I have ways of presenting close up Q&A but this presentation and method is defiantly the best I’ve seen. Also, Psychometry is one of my favourite presentations. I’m so looking forward to performing this. I’ve just landed a new regular restaurant performance gig and I already can imagine I’ll be using this great piece regularly. I’m glad for the amount of time Lewis put into thinking about how to go through the nuts and bolts and then the theory separately. You can tell he has really worked out all the kinks in presentation. He’s performed this hundreds of times and it shows. The theory on presenting Mentalism is very good as well. Glad I decided to check this out, and I’m very much looking forward to performing with this regularly. This is in line with my style of performance, it’s about creating an emotional connection and connecting with their heart. It’s about giving all you can to your participants. It’s intense and I imagine it’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. So if your on the fence, watch the promo and ask yourself it that’s the type of thing you do. If it is you will be so happy to have learned this. Many thanks! Much love!

Just finished watching through the whole 2 hours worth of instruction and I am blown away with not only the routine but the depth and care that Lewis has gone into in this release. Sometimes a 2.0 or update on an effect can leave you feeling disappointed but this was absolutely not the case here. This is hands down one of my favourite purchases at Penguin and is a steal for the price. I'll be sure to check out Lewis' other works as a result

On Jan 2, 2020, lumberjohn wrote: Just for clarification, you write: " AOK2 represents a combination of different moves, primarily it seems to provide alternatives to a move some find intimidating". Is that an alternative to the move when dealing down the spectators 3 cards on the table, or an alternative to the move when you get the information from the first specs card??? (I do find that getting the information is more covered using business card sized cards rather than poker sized cards, since they are easier to cover with the hand. Having said that, I use my business cards for AOK, not blank/blank cards. Another advantage of using business cards is that I can mark them discretely on the backside, so I don't have to write myself on the blank side before handing them out to the 3 spectators - those who have AOK knows what I mean) I like AOK - it's a really wonderful deceptive method to get into classic effect of mulitiple spectator mind-reading. I don't find any of the moves intimidating, however I wouldn't mind studying a different method/variant. Best Jan |

I don't find it necessary (the original is fine for me), but it does give some nice presentational options. The benefit of AOK2 to me, honestly, is everything else that is added, mainly about theory that also gives lots of great ideas for making AOK better. |
