Coming soon from Dee Christopher and Roddy McGhie.
Born from a late-night jamming session in which the duo bounced a number of ideas for mentalism gimmicks; the TWO methods you will learn in this download were singled out as the very best inventions from the bunch. You will learn how to make TWO very different gimmicks, both of which are very easy to construct (one of which takes almost no construction at all!) and one very powerful routine with a couple of variations so that you can take it in whichever direction suits your style. The first gimmick in this download is quite possibly the COOLEST way to get a peek you will ever learn! In this hour-long tutorial, you will receive advice from both Roddy & Dee as they divulge everything you need to know to make performing this explosive routine easy and FUN. As a wise man once said; "Give yourself a present once a day, every day..." ...Today, that perfect gift comes in the form of UPS. He's pretty much surrounded in that clip, he shows the stack of business cards on both sides proving everything is normal yet he can still get the peek. That is very clean.

The thought of card goes into the middle of the stack, no breaks, and no windows. Two peeks are taught on the download. The one in the performance is the more complex gimmick. It will take some basic arts and crafts. There is another peek taught that is just as devious with a lot less preparation. |

Definitely interested, but is the area limited to just the strip at the bottom?

Limited area of writing it seems.

If There is such a restrictive area I don’t see any advantage to his other peek block.

Does it have to go in the back side of the stack or could it go in the front as well?
Also, if you can say without tipping, how much of the stack is gimmicked? Can the cards be spread or no?

Looks like it's available now https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/12331. Looks like it comes with a ready made gimmick.

Can the spec put the card into the stack or does the performer need to do it?

Sorry for the confusion guys. I just spoke to the warehouse directly. They are sending everything you need to do the trick. It does qualify for pack flat shipping.
You get enough materials to make a gimmick that works with your own business cards or you can use the 25 provided business cards. You could make a gimmick with both if you'd like. |

I just don’t understand the reasoning behind the performer writing down three words then asking the spectator to write down the last word in the “ sequence “ but the word doesn’t have to have any connection with the other three words?????? Seems like it’s rushed to market with no actual routine!
A bit of elastic between the business cards that when the finger pressure is released will pop the card out far enough to read the last word would be my guess, hope I’m wrong not much of an effect if it is |

I watched a little more than half of the download so far and here are my initial thoughts. The UPS Peek (with gimmick inside the stack of business cards) is clever, but the writing space is limited only to the bottom section of the card. Frankly, there are some sleight-of-hand and other gimmicked versions (Vision by Sean Goodman) that are more practical because you're not limited to such a small writing space.
However, within the context of Roddy's routine it works quite well. The seed for Roddy's routine is actually Colin Mcleod's excellent "By Association from his best-selling book 'Divine'. In Colin's version he uses a gaffed envelope to peek the last word within the context of playing a game of word association. I've performed Colin's routine many times and it plays well and the method is sound. The only small negative is that if you were performing impromptu carrying an envelope around might seem out of place, but for strolling gigs (as Colin intended) it's perfect. So, here's where Roddy's development shines. You can keep this gaffed card inside a normal stack of business cards and be able to perform Colin's (or Roddy's) routine impromptu. The second offering is a new development for the OTL principle for gaining a peek. Again, you're limited to writing on the bottom section of the card turned vertically, but it's quite clever. There's no construction involved (cut a business card section and you're ready to go). I am sure that many performers will be smitten with this idea. The construction of the UPS gaff should only take about 5-10 minutes to construct and with minimal supplies (no serious arts and crafts involved). I cannot vouch yet for the durability because I haven't constructed it yet. All told, for $14.95 most mentalists will find use for UPS and the new OTL in their tool box. I really feel this a very nice solution for Colin's effect. You won't have to prepare envelopes or worry that the card inside gets hung up inside the envelope. |

Just to make sure I understand you get supplies to make your own gimmick with your business cards?
