The title of this study is poorly titled.

As far as I understand, there were male and female magicians involved, with their actual genders masked so all could pass for either all men or all women.

When told the performers were all female, the test onlookers were more critical to what they saw, then when they were told the performers were all male.

That bias instantly vanished when the onlookers were asked to come up with a solution to the effects they had seen. I.e. the very second analytical thinking were engaged, all the gender bias vanished.

A follow-up hypotheis is that other kinds of negative biases might also be removed once the spectator's analytical thinking is engaged.

Conclusion as a magician:
If being disregarded as a performer, insert a Slydini styled challenge routine, and you're all good.
