Hi All,
Can someone please guide me to the available sources for "Card Weighing" routines. The one I would love to know about is Pit Hartling's version. Whete has it been published. I know Woody has his routine published. Please let me know about the available resources Regards NBL |

All you need is a micrometer scale, and you are all set. Try Amazon, they have everything.

Pit's routine is in his newest book, In Order to Amaze.
My personal favorite is Juan Tamariz's, in his book Mnemonica. Both use a memorized deck. |

I liked Pit's version a lot, but then I learned Woody Aragon's version and for whatever reason prefer that more. Am I the only person who thinks that there is some weird connection between Pit and Woody?
Either way both versions are great |

Both versions are fantastic, but Woody's can be performed without a complete stacked deck

One of the best IMO is In Woody Aragon’s A Book In English.

"Weight Guess" in The Card Magic of Nick Trost is the one I use.
Also try "I'll Guess Your Weight" in The Breather - The Ultimate Crimp by Bob King. There's also a version in More Magician Foolers by the same author. Motte |

Many can be found in Denis Behr's Conjuring Archive in the category "Super Senses / Packet Thickness":

Weighing Across: If you cross the "Weight Guess" carnival game with the "Cards Across" plot and mix in a pinch of awesomeness, this is the clever routine you'd get. In this multi-phase effect, not only is Josh able to correctly guess how many cards a spectator is sitting on by height, or how many cards is placed in a bag by weight, but he is also able to magically move cards from the pile under the spectator's butt into the pile in the second spectator's bag. |

Not exactly weighing the cards, but you can force count to a specific number of cards in a cut-to packet using the Killer Kount, Steve Beam and a booklet by Duffie et al on lybrary.com. Killer Kount is an application of the Hamman Count.

Doug Conn on his DVD set (disc 1) Built to Last has Weighing the Aces, nice effect. He has a some really golden nuggets on this set, I really think this flew under the radar when he released it!

My favorite is part of Marlos Miracle Routine. Not only is it easy to do, the setup can be done perfectly from a brand new deck in new deck order, can be borrowed deck and afterwards you are setup to go right into the rest of the routine. IMHO it's one of the best impromptu routines with a borrowed brand new sealed deck you can do. And all it requires is ability to Faro Shuffle.
