The cards look nice but where can I learn this routine? It says "no routines taught."

Why not also mention Alex Elmsley, Bruce Cervon, Juan Tamariz, Nick Trost, Frank Garcia, John Bannon, Larry West, etc? Clearly, you've got a problem with Paul Gordon. That's fine; I'm sure he doesn't look any sleep because some no-mark doesn't get inspired by his material. However, to only call Paul Gordon out for effects where the backs of cards change colour, smacks of sheer hypocrisy; a lack of knowledge; or in your case, possibly both?

I have emailed Paul Gordon via his website contact page but have had no response , best wishes Gaz 🙂 |

This looks an awful lot like this trick from Thom Peterson, which I own and enjoy performing!! Slight variation done by Gordon, but very much the same concept.
Thom had the cards custom made for him. https://amazingguystore.com/just-fate.html

There's one possible outcome that requires a small adjustment move to get the desired effect. Otherwise, yes, it's that clean and pretty easy to perform.

It might look like he shuffled 6, but trust me it was only 5.

However, with the unnatural order of pick up; coupled with the faffing around displacing a card; this effect/method is hardly 'clean'.....is it? Moreover, I truly believe that you'd need a fair degree of performing experience; and decent verbal misdirection; to make this fly. Personally, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Just my honest opinion.

Perhaps you should stick to improving your Elmsley count!

I agree with Merc Man. Once the cards are picked up and turned over it’s completely ruins the effect. You just wouldn’t do it unless of course there’s some dodgy rearranging going on.

I'm done defending this trick. I like it, you don't, and now I couldn't give a s**t! You Brits pick the dumbest things to argue over!!

Payner44, I'm not sure being a Brit has anything to do with it but you are dealing with 2 of the grumpiest members of the Café. Although I do seem to recall Merc Man saying he liked something once about 6 years ago but pegasus thought it was absolute rubbish.
