Cards go in and out of the box a bunch
without great justification |

How different is this from extractor? What are the pros and cons to that?

But just from looking at this, it's a lot cheaper -- and also has you putting the whole deck into the box, rather than just the card. I agree with others that having to put the deck in the box and then take it out seems unmotivated in that performance, but if this is as clean as it looks, seems like there are lots of routines that could make use of this. I'm... intrigued. |

If you wish to simply steal the card out in a very clean, fair, and impossible manner, The Extractor imo appears to work better for that purpose (I own 2 of them). Now, if your purpose to use something like this is to control a card as in the ACAAN routine that was demonstrated, obviously The Extractor would not allow you to accomplish that so Abandoned looks like an interesting option to accomplish that task. The biggest difference I see with Abandoned is that it would appear that you need to control the card first so that the box could do it's job. Extractor, the spec gets to slide the card into anywhere in the boxed deck and you will have instant access to it. |

This is nothing like the Extractor.
The deck goes in the box, you take the cards cleanly out and they can see none are left inside, they shuffle and they go back in. That seems like quite justified moves during a routine, that are obviously necessary to achieve the effect. Pick yours up here www.saturnmagic.co.uk/saturn-magic-shop/......r-eggink

The cards then goes in the box but then he takes them out again for the spec to cut a few times before it then goes back into the box again only to do ACAAN out of the box. I can see some applications for this but that ACAAN in the demo seemed to have a bit more fiddling with the cards then I personally would like to have/see but I do think the product is promising. |

They can shuffle if they wish, any way they like.

What I'm asking is that if Peter didn't do the control in the beginning and then box the cards, would the routine still play out that way? Reason I ask is if the box does the work, then there would be no need for Peter to do the card control he does in the uncut performance but he does do that card control and then boxes the card and then takes the deck back out of the box, leaving me to believe that he had to do a initial control to get the card in position so that the box would function for what he needs to use it for. |

Can anyone comment on the doability of the presentations where the card is being held out in the box...for example the part in the trailer where the blue card is dealt from the box and matches the red card following a throw of two dice. The presentation is motivated I think.

If you wanted to use it as a force and not with a signed/freely chosen card, seems like you wouldn't need to go in and out of the box.

This is crap. It's almost impossible to load the card into the gimmick real time, and if you wanted to use it to force the card at a certain number like in the demo, it would have to be a number between only 1-10ish because of how this works...

Makes me wonder if maybe you got a lemon Patrick. Also, Kaan should have mentioned something about being limited to a smallish number of only 10 or so because I would assume the same would apply not only to a force but to the CAAN as well. |

No wonder it’s called Abandoned. Abandoned to the bottom drawer.
