Michael Ammar has new cups on the market. Out of fun curiosity, has anyone used them?

I think they look great and the price seems reasonable to me. It sounds like they are CNC cups. It looks like there is a chance it will hold a tennis ball based on the dimensions, but since he doesn't specify a tennis ball, I am not sure.

Height: 3 inches
Width: 3 inches (mouth, exterior edges) / 2.75" (interior)

Good point. They are larger than a Paul Fox but it doesn't specify the final load capacity.

These are actually the Artistic Cups and Balls 2 and are very similar to the original A.C.A.B. except they are lighter in color and have slightly thicker beads. They will hold a tennis ball. They came with light blue balls and a green drawstring bag. These are nice heavy cups that could have been priced a lot more.

A 2.75" opening will fit a tennis ball. 3.0" a baseball and 3.375 - 3.5 a naval orange

I should add, 2.625" a lacrosse ball I believe. If I am not mistaken, the Paul Fox cups have a 2.625 mouth opening. I am not 100% on that but I believe that is correct

Lacrosse balls vary in size, just enough to have made it impossible for me to find any that fit my Paul Fox cups. I took my cups to sporting goods stores and tried balls out in person. Big fail.

It is a hit and miss game. Been there myself. Keep searching.
That is all.

Maybe a lacrosse ball was an overstatement? I thought they were 2.625". Either way, it is too small of a load size!! In my opinion

Anything Michael Ammar sells is"GOOD STUFF".

The cups look nice to me and, handling-wise, at nearly two pounds for the set of three, I imagine they feel "just right" for most cup workers.

Maybe there is a "season" for lacrosse. I don't know. A few years ago, just about the time I made that post about the size of lacrosse balls, I purchased several dozen lacrosse balls from various sources. Some I got from mail order houses, others from sporting goods stores. As I heve mentioned in several posts on the Café, the sizes have varied quite a bit since the manufacturers started getting them from China.

Who made your Paul Fox cups?

So much so that I couldn't find any that fit (and I went through a big bin-full at a local large sporting goods chain store).

But I don't really mind. For final loads, I instead decided to invest in Michael Ammar's Fab Fruit.
