@Mr. Miranda, IR does lock very well and can be examined by spectators.
I never had any problems with that. Don‘t invent problems.
The heavy item presentation by Calen M. is also anything but new.

Mr Artin,

Please tell me where I can purchase Industrial Revelation.

Oh, wait, I can't because Grant isn't making them anymore. The only option is the used or collector market.

But I *can* purchase Metal Phone if I'd like to.

Thank you, Joao Miranda and Calen Morelli.

Hi Doric lol of course I won’t and I am going to really check that voodoo effect out as like I said before I am often wrong and you are correct in the fact that often it’s the little gems that get missed . Best wishes Gaz 🙂

I just got a live demo at blackpool... the biggest thing disturbing me are the 2 screws you see you reset it with.
a solid block would not need screws.

Metal Phone is born.

Making the locking mechanism was one of the hardest things ever.

You can pre order your unit HERE: http://www.joaomiranda.com/store/index.p......t_id=130

Industrial Revelation with a phone..... very creative. 🥱
Wishing the magic industry would produce more real new concepts and ideas.

Firstly; there is a visual reason for those screws, as they emulate a camera lens (which unconsciously justifies them).
Secondly; unless those screws are played with by the performer during the routine, how would any spectator conclude that those screws are there for reset purposes? Or serve any purpose at all?

The performance I saw, one moment the block can be penetrated, next it can’t at all. I didn’t even register the screws until it was pointed out later

I don’t think the screws under the camera lens sticker have anything to do with the locking mechanism. Those are Philips screws. Joao said the lock is controlled/adjusted by a hex key. The hex screws are likely in the end of the device, in the same location an iPhone has screws.

Ah ok. If there are other screws visible on the steel block then maybe it’s a concern, but I personally wouldn’t have ever connected the dots.

Correct Mark.

One of screws resembles the headphone jacks entrance, and the other is right on the edge of the phone on top of the camera.

They really look very innocent and do not raise suspicion.

It is simply part of the aesthetic of the phone.

Ignore my first reply to you Christian, just had someone PM me that you are not referring to the screws on the camera. I see what you mean

Thanks for your post Mark.

This is a great example!

You are not able to buy a product anymore and now you are happy to buy a indirect copy.
Please think about the meaning of a limited release...
You surely belong to the target group they are aiming for.

If you don’t care about originality iam sorry for you Mark.
Do you think it’s also ok to wait a few weeks until a copy (chinese market) of the copy is available? Possibly yes.

It’s Jamie D Grants decision to produce IR and you should respect that. Instead of claiming your “right“ to own it.

I m talking about the small "allen-screws" on top and bottom small-side...
i had it in my hand, not natural there at all in my opinion.

you could imitate such parts (and also the lens) in a solid block in a solid way too. and in my opinion puttin screws on something solid makes it unlogic... just my 2 cents...

For those of you that consider this: How are you planning om combining this with your real phone (Inject etc)? “Now please take out your credit card and let me get my other phone...”
Please check regularly if you are becoming the type of magician Jerry Seinfeld jokes about. (This applies to mentalists as well.)

The thing is the brass matchbox penetration was decades before industrial revelation so I don’t see how you can pull Joao up any more than Jamie .
I wouldn’t pull anything of them up unless you know a little bit more about the history of magic Gaz 🙂

To Doric and others I watched Voodoo needle properly today .
Hands up it fooled me , so much so I bought it as I was not going to ask the method for the sake of spending another £10 .
Method is really really great and you start and end clean , to be fair it’s genius .
I foolishly had overlooked this and thanks to Doric that’s no longer the case .
Best wishes Gaz 👍🙂

Is there a way for us non-goers to see the effect?

A good friend of mine recorded it being demmed which Peter allowed so if you email me I will try to get him to send it to me and I will forward it to you Gaz 🙂
