Does anyone use wax or some other substance to prevent a mag [ from rotating over an insert? I’m expecting a set to arrive tomorrow which I’m fairly certain will have this problem.

I'm confused. What are you asking? A product like wax to stop the shell from nesting?

My fault for being so cryptic! I am waiting for a magnetic scotch and soda to come that is known for its less-than-perfect lock. If handled by the spectator the shell easily rotates. Perhaps there’s something I can use to prevent it from moving.

If that is the case and it does move, just don't hand it out. Anything you "add" can cause other problems. A simple Bobo switch should do much better than wax or the sort.
