I always loved the chair to suitcase effect, this is what I came up with. In the brief video of myself performing this I could have executed it a bit smoother but you get the idea, I made this a bit smaller than usual, more portable:

I always wanted to own one in good condition. I had an original Conradi one which I sold away due to its condition.

I have sevral "building plans" from Marconics book, Jack Hughes to Will Goldston.

I'm just wondering why the back rest is split in two ?

what type of hinges did you use to connect the back rest and the back legs ?


Any chance of some pics via private message ?
