There are many classic tricks that almost everyone has seen before, like restored newspaper, sponges, or restoring cut ropes.

None the less, I believe the majority of these classic tricks remain a mystery to the average layperson.

I am wondering however, if some tricks that are promoted to aggressively like at Walmart or as seen on TV might be overly familiar to the public.

From your experience, are there tricks or effects that are just two well-known by too many people to risk doing?

Just do them different and do them well. There will be no risk. Entertain them. That’s all they want.
