Might be but shame that Wayne Fox is releasing it. He still owes me an item I ordered from him over a year ago! Dirt-bag IMO, took my money but never sent my package.

So yes Doric, I will post freely of what a dirtbag Wayne has been with his customer service and taking my money and not giving me anything in return for it. I don't care how amazing a product is, if the person who is releasing it has screwed over people and stolen their money then I we'll keep on posting and reminding people to BEWARE!

I’m with RNK on this one. Wayne has screwed many customers over. I hope he meets them at Blackpool.
I don’t think it’s intentional personally, it’s just his admin is up his ar@@ (as we say in the military) that’s why you should buy from reputable dealers only. |

Looks really nice. Having used several different boxes over the years, I doubt I will use this because I don’t want to come anywhere near the box once it’s in play but if you want to have the spectator remove the card, this seems like a winner.

I’ve watched the trailer for this, it’s not an advancement in any sense. In-fact, in my opinion it’s a step backwards.
The idea of adding a wooden box to facilitate a move the spectator/ audience never see in any existing performer is nothing more than creating a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist for performers who feel guilty about loading the box. This is also not the first version where the spectator removes the card themselves - which is ironically what seems to be championed as one of the major selling points. The load is quick, but so is the horrific fold that preceded it. I can only hope that was done satirically to show that anyone can do this, I would expect more from Wayne as a performer. Back to the box, I think it makes more sense that the card comes from the regular box card box as it’s an innocent prop not an introduced one that’s only there to serve one purpose. Here’s the logic, from a choreography perspective, when you introduce a box make a card disappear and then point to the box the audience are already making assumptions that the card is inside the box. It’s not the best situation to be in (but it’s also not the worst). Which puts this trick into that middle of the road category from the off. The regular box seems more at home and natural in that situation and because the box feels such a natural thing it seems psychologically more impressive when the card comes from there. Something is also very ‘off’ about the reactions. The audio is boosted for the reactions it becomes hissy and because of the laid back spectators I find it hard to believe they swore - it feels like the beeps were sloppily overlaid, I’d be intrigued to here the none censored version. The box looks to have a shiny plastic lid inside, which would (if correct) not look cheaply fashioned when comparing it to its wooden exterior. This I can’t be sure of. I have enjoyed some of Wayne’s thinking in the past - this feels like a take it or leave it type of effect for the lazy magician., There are much more interesting places the card to appear. Just my pre-thoughts, David. |

Great critique David. Most buyers (hobbyists) won't be as thoughtful as you, which is why this will be a Blackpool best seller!

Sorry about my spelling, I was cooking dinner with my wife. Just read my post back, god awful. Hopefully my points weren’t missed due to my haste.

Wayne comes across as a ‘nice guy’ in WPR
I don’t understand why he wouldn’t make things right for ppl who have ordered from him Has anyone who has ordered off him and not received goods messaged him recently... what response did they get? And anyone go up to him in Blackpool ? I can’t see how he can weasel out of making things right? Is there something missing from the story? Was the product faulty or really never sent? |
