I recently learned the diagonal insertion from Roberto Giobbi's Card College 1.
It seems like a really useful technique to return a card to the center of the deck, and immediately catch a break and control the card. How often do other people use this control, and in what situations do you especially find it useful? |

I do not think I ever have. If I do a middle inset, I just push it out and back in as I get the break as far as I recall.

Use it nearly all the time as a control; apart from if I'm using a breather crimp or a Thick Card (my preferred option).

Every time a card is returned in the center of the deck and in an Ambitious routine...

Most of the times when I handle the card after selection. I prefer the audience member putting it in though.
