Does anybody have any links to videos of top performers doing hex squared type effects?
For example here's David Copperfield doing an interactive effect with a TV audience as a warm up prior to vanishing a train. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ1WTRkTjcA&t=12s

I believe there's one on YT by Max Maven (who is the creator if I'm not mistaken)?

Thanks Goldfield, haven't seen the one you mention but I will check again. Any clue as to what he might have called it?

Thanks Goldfield, not often we see diagonal moves in these effects.
Philemon, I found this whilst searching YouTube for Gardner's Planet Force. A guy called Marco Frezza, not sure how well known he is in the magic community but he is quite a slick presenter, and here he is doing an interactive Hex squared effect with his audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF7SOSwx68E

Philemon, nothing popping up for Planet Force on video, any idea where I can get further details of it?

Thanks Philemon, do you know the routine and 'moves' or is it a commercial item? Feel free to PM if necessary.

The version that Max Maven uses is slightly different, but it is basically a branching maze that you work backwards, restricting and eliminating the number of choices each time. I once asked Max how he makes those, wondering if there was an algorithm that makes creating them easier. He replied that he just uses trial-and-error, although I suspect that after making quite a number of these, you just learn how to make these quickly. I can custom-make these upon request (and a reasonable consultation fee), with whatever theme you wish. PM me for details if you're truly interested.

Thanks Philemon for the offer. I also wondered for a long time if there was an algorithm to make them. I am familiar with the principle and will make up a set based on the planets. I was really just curious to read Gardner's routine and patter.
BTW, for anyone interested, there is a book available called "magic scratchers" that you can pick up for little money and it's chock full of these.

"Room For Doubt" by Tannen's Magic.
I would be very grateful if anybody knows of a link to a performance of this effect.
