Two weeks closed at the minimum... the Board of directors and Trustees will reassess between now and then, based on Government advisories.

BTW- Since I was hosting and performing at the Sunday Brunch, I was the last performer before it closed.
Even the Performers who were booked for all week, won't be able to finish out their engagement on Sunday night.

Question, can the Castle continue shows or even lectures online (facetime, skype, conference call type shows, etc.)? Lynn

I wonder if they are close for a month, they should give you back one month or 8.3% off the next years membership Smile

I hope people don’t push for a discount or a refund. This is going to be a very hard time m, and if people care about making sure they have a club to go back to they will hopefully understand that if everyone asked for money back or money off it could really hurt their club. ( what ever club they belong to )

Well if the Castle wants people to be ABLE to come back it is possible they need to know that people can not donate that much money. It is a two way street.

Donate? .... it’s money you had already payed if your a member. It’s not a donation, it’s your membership fee to private club.

The Castle has been going a more money/corporatism path, restricting people members can sign in, increasing prices, taking more away from the magician members, it is completely losing its magic and instead, the only focus is on money and profit, I blame the GM and president

With no access for an undetermined amount of time you are paying for something you are not getting. This is a donation. To expect to not provide some sort of relief for the members seems odd. It is their choice to be in the private club business. Every private club in the country has decisions to make about how to deal with closure at this time. It is simply what goes with that business model. The agreement was for access for this period of time. If a fire shut them down, if a natural disaster shut them down, or if something else did it creates a unique business problem for them.

Of course it is extenuating circumstances. Of course this is not regular business. Obviously this is not their doing in any way. I am not saying they are doing anything wrong. I am not saying they should do anything different than they are. I am saying there are two sides to the story is all. Nothing more.

Often that is about physical problems such as hurricane or fire. I HOPE they have a policy that covers this!

The easiest solution is to extend members memberships by the amount of downtime. This way there is no loss by 'refunds' and members don't lose 'time'. Win win...

This is an equitable solution. Being as they probably qualify for the PPA loans and such.
