Is making a video of yourself doing some moves or sleights that you're struggling with, and then posting a link to it here and asking for suggestions/help allowed?

Hi there.
Yes, it's allowed. However, it may be better/safer to wait until you have fifty posts, and post your video(s) in secret sessions. Posting them in the public areas may potentially expose methods. In secret sessions, we can also have a more open discussion regarding method and technique. Which sleights are you having problems with ? Jim |

If you're not exposing anything and just showing a performance, you can post in the "you oughta be in pictures" forum.

Which sleights are you having problems with ? Thanks for the feedback. There are several that I'm struggling with but probably wouldn't post them all at once. The top three are probably the Pinky count, up-the-ladder false shuffle and the erdnaise color change. I'm also not sure I'm doing a shuttle pass right. There's also a false overhand shuffle that Alex Pandrea explains in one of his videos where you essentially cut the deck, run a few cards, uncut the deck and re-run the cards to restore them to where they were. I don't know the official term for that. Secret Sessions sounds fun. I wouldn't rack up 50 posts just to post, but I'll see if I can find threads I can MEANINGFULLY respond to. |

You can PM me with the specifics if you like, I may be able to help (except the pinkie count, I don't personally use it).
