I'm quite surprised not to see more buzz around Colin's recent project(s) at www.psych-artist.com
At the outset of this post I want to clarify - this is an unsolicited post and I paid full price for access to the content. Colin and I have corresponded here and there in the past but I'm by no means in his "inner circle" (maybe one day though! ). Quite simply this is one of the best investments I've made in the last year or two. Colin is offering (at the time of writing at least) four instant video downloads. Each download is a nearly one hour "deep dive" dissection of a real-world routine that Colin has used COUNTLESS times in live or televised performances. Here's a brief overview of each: Force-sight: Colin revisits the classic (and highly sought after) techniques first shared in his now OOP book This Way Up but provides some significant advances both in terms of method, scripting and structure. This was, hands down, my favorite video of the four. My only concern with this is that people will outright imitate Colin's reveals and beats instead of making an effort to personalize the various elements of the routine. Psycho: This details the performance piece that Colin is likely most known for - his "which hand" style routine that culminates in a perfect prediction. The sheer versatility of this technique is astounding. Even if you are familiar with this concept from his Penguin Lecture or book Divine I'm certain that you'll appreciate some of the finer touches that Colin tips (not to mention an EXQUISITE example/application of the principle using a newspaper). He also includes a solid no tech method for accomplishing "the necessary." Thief: Here Colin gives his work on Max Maven's "Desire." This routine boasts a handling that makes it appear as though you've never touched, let alone looked at, the final card (ever). For me, one of the highlights of this download was seeing the evolution of the piece. Colin shares his personal performance footage capturing the adjustments that he's made to the presentation and method over the years. ENVision: This is an update on his routine "By Association" from Divine. He has pushed the core idea much further and turned this into a mini confabulation using the simplest of items (an envelope, a pen and a piece of paper). "By Association" didn't capture my imagination in a big way when I read Divine, but "ENVision" is something I'm absolutely going to play with. At the end of this download Colin also tips his pet headline prediction (based on Bruce Bernstein's "A Sporting Prediction"). Here's the thing - I've been a fan of Colin's thinking for years, so I already knew all of the core ideas/techniques utilized within these four routines. That said, I'm still EXTREMELY pleased with these projects. There are few mentalists out there that have performed as frequently, for as many people, and in as many "high pressure" environments as Colin. When someone like that speaks, I listen. It was illuminating to hear him explain why he made some of the choices he did when using this material on TV (and in other contexts). These insights ALONE were, for me, more than worth the cost of admission. It was also a pleasure to view several never before shared performances of this material. This includes a segment of Colin's appearance on the Royal Variety Performance that wasn't televised. I can't wait to see what else Colin has planned for psych-artist.com! Best wishes, Drew

Under the radar is how it like it
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to write this. The fact you're a supporter of my work is one thing, but the fact you've found real value in what I've shared is another. This means more to me than you'll ever know. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Hey guys,
I bought the package deal, the 4 downloads for $129.17 believe it was. Plus you get a bonus effect, as well as access to a webinar and something that will be called The Structure. I havent had time to watch anything, but I feel it will all be worth it for the price. Review coming later..... Alex Alejandro

Purchased the 4 downloads from https://www.psych-artist.com. I’ve been a fan of Colin’s thinking and I love his character. I’m a A big fan of the inspector that lived on 221b Baker Street! I’ve watched force sight and it’s brilliant with updated info and impactful subtleties that make the In-depth downloads feel perfect! If the other 3 Downloads are as great as this one which I hear they are then this is a very good deal for what you get! Starting “thief” later tonight!

Would the offer also be suitable for beginners? Or do you have to have a lot of experience to get some value out of it?

On Apr 23, 2020, Alfred Borden wrote: Alfred - here is my take on your question. I do not perform regularly. I run a Canadian charity that runs a program for high school students whereby during the month of July the students (in groups of about 60) live at one of 20 universities across the country for the month. In my role as CEO I visit most of the campuses and do a session with the students. During the session to keep them interested I usually perform a couple of things such as Tossed Out deck or Colour match. That is the full extent of my annual performing - so I am not a professional or even a semi-professional. I bought the full set and am VERY happy with the investment. I have watched the four main videos (about to watch the bonus one shortly) and have jotted down many notes of things that I can think about to either add to the bits I do or to add new bits. When I am traveling during July I only take a carry-on so don't want to take stuff that will occupy a lot of room. The material Mr. McLeod shares is all practical and requires no large props. So from my standpoint as the equivalent of a beginner, I am thrilled with the purchase because (a) there is some great stuff taught but more importantly (b) there are ideas about how to think about using the concepts in the context of your situation. I hope this helps with your decision. I doubt you will be disappointed if you decide to purchase. Tim |
