First, let me apologize if this has been addressed before. I did a cursory look and did not see anything on this topic. My question is, If you buy the plans for an apparatus and you then build and sell the apparatus (giving appropriate credit) is that ethical? In this case, I'm assuming that the person producing the plans does not say anything about this idea one way or the other. I'd appreciate advice/suggestions from others.

I really don't know. But I don't see anything wrong building one for personal use & selling it once you no longer have use for it (as long as the creator has not kept manufacturing rights like in the example I found below).
