Anybody have any insight on this? https://www.worldmagicshop.com/product-page/streamlined
Wonder if the wallet can only hold business cards or other cards such as drivers license and debit cards as well? I need a new wallet for everyday use. Thanks and hope all are healthy! RNK

It's a pity that they don't show a few photos of the inside of the wallet to illustrate how many pockets and windows it has etc. It would also be nice if they provided the actual dimensions. The only photo in the advertisement is of the black envelope.

Yes, not much information released with the ad and from the demo it is hard to see the wallet and what it looks like. I am curious as well if they spectator can name ANY of the 52 cards or is there eq#$&^*( involved? The ad suggests that they can name ANY of the 52 cards. Hopefully David can come on here an clear things up.

How is this different or better than ID by Steve Cook and Alakazam Magic? In fact, ID only uses one envelope without a wallet.

Well, it obvious that it employs equivoque. If I had to speculate I'm thinking that it's probably a really deceptive Himber (style) wallet. The advantage of this over Steve Cook's might be the compact size of the wallet (Steve's was rather large and didn't really resemble a traditional style wallet). But again, I'm only guessing. David has a good track record of product releases. So, hopefully, he'll jump on-board and share some more details.

This was a sellout at Blackpool
That’s what WMS said in email but I don’t remember anyone saying anything about this So if anyone did pick it up , would be interested to know is it as clean as the demo or is this just showing best possible outcome? |

That said tipping the envelope and have only one card fall out is probably enough to prove that only one card is in the envelope - You can display the whole card (where with ID you had to be holding the card in a certain way). You don't have the moment in ID where you can show the back of the card but I think that's somewhat unnecessary. * I mention this because there are instructions on how to construct the envelopes. When I received this the envelopes were already constructed. This may be the case when you get the product. The base effect is fine, but it's no different from other similar products (On The Mark, ID). I think which one is best depends on which one you feel works best for you (Do you want a big or small wallet? Do you want to clearly take the envelope out of the wallet? Do you want to make it clear that only one envelope is in the wallet? do you want a convincer that only one card could have come from the envelope? Do you want to display the whole card?). They all have advantages and tradeoffs. |

Speculating only, the wallet does look like a himber wallet. I would assume it would had to be equivocate but in the ad you see he has 52 while it's sitting on the table and says something to the effect that there is no need for 52 wallets anymore which implies any of the 52 cards can be chosen. Of course that would be real magic, lol. Another demo that I feel is a little misleading if that is the case.

If anyone knows Bang On by Mark Oberon it utilizes one of the very same wallets and envelopes

The advantage this has over Bang On is that with Streamlined the wallet can be on the table from the outset before the mag starts the e******* . With Bang On the wallet only comes out after the spec names the card, BUT any card can be named.

In the demo he shows both sides of a card not possible with bang on .It also can reveal number or picture cards from one wallet . This is new to me, will wait for some more reviews but it does look interesting.

The trailer is a little misleading because while some of the performances shown are using what you get in the package, the performances where a number card and a back is shown requires using a separate WMS product that involves a "thought of card"

I spoke to David about this effect last week and he confirmed that the effect is a streamlined version of 'Bang On' by Mark Oberon which I bought from WMS last year but rarely use because of the amount of pocket real estate required.
David's explanation of this effect is slightly at odds with his video where the spectator names and David reveals a 2 of Hearts showing both sides of the card. I have asked David to explain this anomaly and I am waiting to hear from him. Leosx1 is incorret when he says "With Bang On:" the wallet only comes out after the spec names the card", in fact the wallet comes out before the whole of the card is named. BUT it is true that any card can be named which I don't believe is the case with Streamlined unless David jumps in to clarify. |
